FEATURES:

v. 1.3: 20, unique weapons each with 7-9 visually distinct, interchangeable parts!

For those who have played Borderlands or any of the other games in the series:

This mod doesn't need very much explanation. You will find literally every combination of gun from in the first game (at least, 4/7 types so far), with all 9 different manufacturers featured, material grades, legendaries and elemental damage types. In addition, even MORE legendaries have been added, as well as new elemental damage types, taking advantage of Fallout's cryo weapon damage, and slag. So, there are even more variants of guns than in the original Borderlands game. A bazillion. Actually, only 100's of millions of different guns, but honestly, who's counting.

For everyone else, or if it's been a while since you visited Fyrestone, here's what this mod is and does:

  • Adds lots of new guns to the game through script-safe leveled list injection.
  • Guns continue to grow in power and increase in variety through level 48.
  • Includes 6 different energy damage types: burn, freeze, poison, shock, explode, and SLAG your enemies... or die a similar death at the hands of your foes.
  • Nine different weapon manufacturers and five different material grades with their own unique appearances and characteristics including rare, legendary variants with bonus special effects.
  • Mix and match different parts at a crafting station (including legendaries) and totally break your game with untested versions!
  • Loot! Shoot things to drop more loot!
  • Lots and lots and lots of guns.

THIS MOD CONTAINS ONLY 100% GENUINE MADE FROM SCRATCH ASSETS.

INSTALLATION:

Download through NMM or manually, or however else you want to do it, and install to your Fallout 4 data folder. MCM functionality has been added in version 1.2. MCM is not strictly required, however. Users may also use a holotape, the ECHO PCD for 'immersion' or just for a different interface. Note that the ECHO PCD is used by default if MCM is not installed.

HELP & FAQ:

Guns aren't appearing in my game.
  • Repeaters are low level weapons and should start appearing more or less immediately. Revolvers & Combat Rifles should start appearing more frequently around level 7. Same with shottys. Before other enemy types start using them, they may also appear in merchant inventories at earlier levels. Enable LOOTSPLOSIONS through your ECHO PCD to get enemies to drop them even earlier.
  • Also, double check that leveled lists have been INJECTED through your ECHO PCD or the MCM menu. It may take some number of in-game days for lists to be refreshed and filled.

Lootsplosions don't seem to be working.
  • Killing an enemy with Lootsplosions enabled provides a chance for that enemy to drop a BL Gun, but not always. As they say, random is random. Enable rarity grades to better see where and when a weapon is dropped.

The first gun/second gun/tenth gun I found really sucked. Alternatively, I found a game-breaking gun at a low level!
  • The RNG gods are hard to appease. Find or make a better gun, or please report if you found something Badass way too early. Bad loot exists to make good loot even better! Sometimes, there can be too much good loot, too.

I literally have zero fire rate or inverted recoil or incredibly slow reload times, or other incredible wonkiness. What?
  • Please post a screenshot of the gun in question (in the bugtracker, preferably)  with the title for troubleshooting. It's difficult to test all of the different combinations of weapon parts. One can be vigilant, but things slip through the cracks.

The glow effects for different energy damage type weapons don't appear or appear really dull sometimes.
  • They do, and I have no idea why it happens. I'm still trying to figure it out. It seems to be related to certain color remapping indices, which unfortunately means that most DAHL and Atlas guns have terrible glow effects. Oh well.

I disabled/enabled Rarity Grades and they still appear/still don't appear. Also, guns aren't using .44 ammo or 10mm ammo like I want.
  • The way this works is that the 3D data for each object reference has to be reloaded for changes to take effect, including for the option to use alternate ammo. Picking up a gun and dropping it is enough to toggle whether the effect(s) are present or not. This is still somewhat experimental and I'm working to improve this option.

When do you plan on adding more weapon types?
  • Shotguns are now available in 1.3! Who knows when the next group of weapons will be added?
