What does this mod add?

Subways of the Commonwealth - This mod adds seven functional, populated, and connected subway stations that allow immersive fast travel throughout the Commonwealth, including in Survival mode. New Subway Stations are located near Diamond City, Jamaica Plain, The Castle, Goodneighbor, Malden Center, Cambridge, and Concord, forming a closed circuit connected route.

Each station features an entrance/exit to its associated Commonwealth location, as well as exterior Map Markers allowing regular fast travel for those not playing survival mode.

Each station also features NPCs, Guards, 3 Vendors, 2 Rentable Beds, 3 Safe Cloud Storage Containers, 3 Shipping Containers, Crafting Benches, and Exterior Bubble Turrets for defense. Concord, Goodneighbor, and Jamaica Plain stations also feature Doctors.

The Subway Stations are a bit cookie cutter in layout, but each has a distinctive look and feel, and both Goodneighbor and Diamond City stations feature location specific NPCs and NPC dialogue.

All new subway stations are added to the game and not modifications of existing cells, in addition, they are located in such a way as to be compatible with and near the entrances to the outstanding Subway Runner mod from ghostfc3s.

Cloud Storage and Shipping

As of v.0.99f, I added Cloud Storage and Shipping Containers to all Subway Stations. Thanks go out to Eaodor for the suggestion.

BEFORE UPDATING from v.0.99e or Earlier - Remove all stored items in your subway storage containers before updating or you will lose the items.

Cloud Storage - There are now three footlockers, one in each Motel Room and one near the crafting stations, located in every Subway Station. These are Safe Storage Containers that share their contents with every other Cloud Storage Container located within all the Subway Stations. Any item placed in any one of them will be available in all of them.

Shipping Containers - There are now three wooden crates, one in each Motel Room and one near the crafting stations, located in every Subway Station. These Shipping Containers share their contents with every other Shipping Container located within all the Subway Stations, and they are craftable at any settlement in the workshop menu under "Furniture -> Containers."

Accessing any settlement Shipping Container you've crafted is free, but accessing Shipping Containers in the Subway Stations will cost you a "Shipping Fee" every time you open them. This allows you to place any items you think you may need in your settlement Shipping Containers and have them available (for a shipping fee) at any Subway Station. It also allows you to dump your loot in any Subway Shipping Container and, for a "Shipping Fee," have that loot accessible in any settlement where you've crafted a Shipping Container.

How will this affect my game?

This mod shouldn't cause any issues with current saves or new playthroughs.

Installation Notes

Install using NMM.

The vast majority of assets added by this mod are in BA2 archive form, and will not overwrite any existing assets from mods you currently have installed. However, the Detritus Power Armor textures from Raider Overhaul by MadMAX713 seem to have display issues when in the BA2 archive, so they are included as loose files as of v.0.99d. If you currently have Raider Overhaul by MadMAX713 installed, you will be asked whether you want to overwrite those files. Best to choose NO TO ALL.

Conflicts

DO NOT
run this mod and HotC at the same time, they will conflict.

DO NOT run this mod and Fusion City Rising at the same time, they will also conflict. If you're running Fusion City Rising, use HotC instead of this mod.

There is a conflict with one of the manhole entrances in Underground Railroad (Redux) near The Castle.

02/12/17 - v.0.99g - There are no other known conflicts at this time, however, this mod makes minor additions to some worldspace areas, so there is the potential for conflicts with mods editing the same areas. Please report conflicts you run into so they can be appropriately evaluated and resolved.

v.0.99g has been specifically tested and adjusted, where necessary, for compatibility with the following mods:

Subway Runner
Welcome to Goodneighbor
Better Goodneighbor
Better The Third Rail
Plenty 'o' Exploration
Beantown Interiors Project

Known Issues

Exterior defense turrets may be hostile to provisioners from settlements captured for Nuka World raiders.
