Okay, i know a lot of people were upset about the laser turret damage output, and obviously its realy dumb that you get destroyed thro a lot of energy protection by a turret with a gun about a size of a 9mm pistol. Now what this mode does is: It removes the cRangedDmg perk from laser turrets template which makes thiere damage drop a lot, you will no longer be melted by them and you can take a lot of fire from the lower level ones. 

Here is how i see this: This type of turrets were ment to be a compromise betwin the size of the turret and the power it outputs, so it doesnt make much sense that an actual portable combat turret with 5.56 amunition does less damage to an enemy then a small laser turret.
