Ultimate Level Up Options
by BouncySpartan68
Version 1.0.1

This mod adds a holotape called "Level Up Manager" to the player's inventory that can be used to configure various options that have to do with progression and leveling up.

Options:
Immediately level up - immediately gives you an amount of experience needed to level up by your choice of 1, 5, or 10 levels     *see Note 1
Configure XP gain rate - choose to gain experience points half as fast, twice as fast, or by a special formula designed by me     *see Note 2
Add perk points - immediately gives you your choice of 1, 5, or 10 perk points to spend
Configure perk point gain rate - choose to gain an extra perk point every 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 levels
Apply level cap - choose to stop leveling yourself (and things that level along with you, like enemies) up at level 25, 50, 75, 100, or a custom level of your choosing     *see Note 3

Naturally, you can also use the holotape to set any options you've changed back to their default values.

Installation:
Automatic:  Activate the mod in Nexus Mod Manager.
Manual:       Put "LevelUpOptionsHolotape.esp" and "LevelUpHolotape - Main.ba2" in your Data folder and activate the plugin in your load order.

Uninstallation:
Use the "Level Up Manager" holotape from your Pip-Boy and select the "Uninstall Mod" option at the bottom of the menu, then leave your Pip-Boy.  This removes the holotape from your inventory and sets any changes you've made back to their defaults.  Save and exit the game then either disable the plugin from your load order, remove the files from your Data folder, or disable the mod using Nexus Mod Manager.

Notes:
1 - This is done by calculating the amount of experience you need to reach your target level, and then giving you that amount of experience.  The calculation is done using the vanilla experience-per-level formula, so if you use any mods that change how fast you level up, you will still get experience but it may not be the amount you expect.  However, using this mod's "Experience Gain Rate" options should not cause this type of problem.

2 - The special formula I made, called "Dynamic Rate," gives you faster experience gain the lower your level is.  From levels 1-10 you have a 100% boost, from 11-20 you have a 90% boost, from 21-30 you have an 80% boost... and so on... from 91-100 you have only a 10% boost, and after level 100 you have no boost.

3 - The custom level cap is done by setting the level cap to your current level at the time you choose the option.  For example, to set the level cap at level 81 you would need to level up to level 81 and then choose the custom level cap option to stop you from leveling up past that.  Don't worry, you can also remove your custom level cap and re-set it at a later level (or leave it disabled, or select another option, or whatever you want to do).

Updates:
1.0.1 - There was a bug in the initial version that caused the "Half XP Rate" option to be applied on top of any other options if you used any of the holotape's "Level Up" options.  I changed the code that was causing this to happen, and then I removed it entirely because I realized that segment of code wasn't even necessary.  The point is, that particular bug should be gone now.  Check out the Downloads section for the fixed version.
