About this mod
All my "Not Cartoons" mods, plus more, in one ESP. I tried to make them a little more realistic looking while doing as little editing as possible. 'll add to it on occasion until I have all major named NPCs covered.

I AM AWARE THAT MAYOR MCDONOUGH AND STURGES NEED MORE WORK.
I got tired of human NPCs looking like cartoons, so I imported their faces and edited them JUST enough to make them look more human to me. Not trying to make them beautiful, just more realistic. No non-humans (except for Gen 3 synths) for now, because they're a bit more complicated. I will be adding new NPCs when I'm up to it, until all majornamed NPCs are covered (basically doing a complete NPC face overhaul), mainly in the order I encounter them in my new playthrough. For now I'm focusing on NPCs from the vanilla game. Some are STILL a little too cartoony for my tastes, even after my edits, but I will refine them over time.

The most urgent things are resolved!
I still need a few surgeries that will have to wait for better financial times, but overall, we're okay. Thanks to everyone who helped or expressed their well-wishes!

And because people have been asking about our current situation:
My health is deteriorating dramatically. Long covid has left me with heart, lung, and (from clots) eye damage, among other things, and exacerbated my existing disabilities (like the nerve damage from my spine injuries, the brain fog from my traumatic brain injury and ADHD, etc.), so we're crowdfunding to try to move back to the US (something I swore I'd never do) so I can use my VA and Medicare benefits, because we figure that's the only way I'll live long enough to watch our daughter grow up.

Sep 18, 2021 - Because a few have asked about our situation, here's the short version:
I'm disabled and autistic. My gf and I (both Americans) were in the mountains of Northern Luzon in the Philippines when COVID lockdown hit.
Shortly afterward, we found out we were having a baby. Shortly after our daughter was born (with complications that more than tripled our
hospital bill), and because of a paperwork snafu, it's going to take six months to a year before our daughter can be declared a US citizen, get an SSN, get on my disability, and get a passport, so even if we wanted to and could travel right now, our daughter couldn't. All this plus a
bunch of other unplanned stuff means we're on the hook for literally thousands in unplanned expenses.
The upside is that I have lots of time to play and mod.

Mar 26, 2019 -WHY THE LENGTHY DELAYS?
I know I promised regular updates, and I feel like I owe y'all an explanation for why they haven't been forthcoming. Some good news, some bad news, and some, "Welp, that's life" kind of stuff.
For one thing, I MOVED TO THE PHILIPPINES in 2018 after a breakup, to make my disability income and (tiny) book royalties (You didn't know I was an author? Check http://robhamm.com/ or my personal Tumblr or my gaming Tumblr) stretch further, and in addition to spending time getting used to a new (and wonderful) country and making awesome new friends, the way I've been bouncing back and forth between Manila and Baguio, I haven't been able to count on reliable Internet on a regular basis.
(The neighborhood I'm in for the next few months, for example, I have to rely on pocket wifi to connect unless I pay to go to a coworking hub or leech off of a neighbor who got in before they stopped adding new service here due to overload. Said pocket wifi is limited to 800 megs a day, and is slooooooowwwwwwwwww.)
Also, since moving here, I've been through two typhoons, almost died from double pneumonia (during Ompong/Mangkhut) with secondary infections, and had a few other health issues due to my spine injury and delicate respiratory system. Oh, and a new girlfriend who just moved in with my nomadic ass a few months ago. AND after a few years out of the writing game because the deaths of my sons threw me for such a loop, I'm TRYING to get back into the swing to finish rewrites on some "Alex And" stories, and work on the promised Quiet World novel that readers first got a taste of with my story in Crimson Pact Vol. 2.
So yeah, I've been a bit busy and distracted.
TL;DR: Life for the past couple of years has been alternating between kicking my ass and doing distracting things to me with its tongue, but once I get settled in, I plan to keep my promise of more updates.

March 3, 2017: And once again, I must apologize for delays. But my lifesplosion seems to be calming down now, so here's the plan--
Over the next few days, I will be working on reorganizing the mod to make it, well, modular. The goal is to have an AIO ESP, but also have a version that lets users pick and choose which NPCs they want edited. After that, I will begin to add new faces again.
This includes all of my individual "Not A Cartoon" mods, plus more, in one ESP. If there is enough interest, I will do a "Companions Only" version. About to begin work on Diamond City inhabitants, as well as making needed tweaks to McDonough and Sturges. Leave a comment if there is someone you're dying to see with a more realistic face, or if you have CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.
ALSO-- I MAY BE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE OVER CONSOLE PORTS. See the sticky for details.
