About this mod

The AEAR-1 is a Laser Assault Rifle (Advanced Energy Assault Rifle if you want me to be specific) that does not use hitscan projectiles, to give it a more sci-fi and tactical feel, and set it apart from other guns.

Hey there!

The AEAR-1 (which stands for Advanced Energy Assault Rifle) is an automatic weapon that uses fusion cells as power to shoot laser projectiles instead of beams. It is fast firing, fairly accurate, and is not hitscan to give it the feeling of other popular energy assault rifles from games such as Planetside, or Mass Effect.

The gun has scopes, sights, and receiver mods, and in the future it may have extra stocks and barrels as well.

The gun can be found on any person that spawns with an automatic Plasma Rifle, but it is much less common given it's increased damage. It does approximately 12 more damage than the plasma rifle, a small portion of this is physical damage so the numbers aren't perfectly translatable.

The AEAR-1 is meant to expand the gun selection in Fallout 4, giving you something that isn't hitscan to use, but isn't ridiculously slow as well, and giving you a proper automatic weapon that doesn't have a better semi-automatic counterpart.

I might be adding extra stock and barrel mods, maybe a paint job, but for now I wanted to release it so I could stop stressing about it.

Eventually there will be an all in one mod with all my guns in it. As for uniques.. Maybe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Please report any issues you have to me in the comments or bugs section right away, I'll fix it I swear
Also, user submitted screenshots are always welcome! I love getting this, and I'll pop your name in the bottom right and put them in the official mod screenshots if they're really pretty.
Please don't ask where to find shit. Just kill enemies to find the weapon.
Also, if you like making worldspaces in creation kit, send me a message. I can use them for small quests in MCAM, or in future quest mods.

- So what's next, mister Mike?
- Watch the video ಠ_ಠ

- Silver Shroud Paint Job?
- No. The Silver Shroud did not use a laser SMG, and this is a completely different gun.

- Is this compatible with ultra immersive slooty milk men by Tacoduck?
- Of Course! This mod is compatible with anything and everything.

- THIS LOOKS NOTHING LIKE AN AEAR-1, I OWN ONE AND I SHOULD KNOW
- >:l

- Holey moley Mike, another gun, will you ever put your guns in an all in one patch?
- Yeah, for sure! Once I have enough guns to warrant an all in one mod, (probably around 10) I'll be making one.

- I don't like it
- Honestly I don't like it either but I was already done the gun, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

- What script did you use to add these to leveled lists? I'm a mod author and I would like to do the same.
- Here's my script, I put it into a quest that runs when you install the mod so it only runs once.
You will have to change the variable names and items they're attached to if you want to make it work with your own items.
I have no desire to keep this a secret. It's super simple, and I would prefer everyone used this method, as it would eliminate the need for bashed patches, which consoles can't use. Also I update this google doc whenever I change the script so it should be up to date.
