About this mod

Frost is a little less lonely with a friend. So I created these save files at the VERY beginning that include a dog. I went with Shadow the Dark Husky Companion by 7iger. The animal seems to fit better with the game.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
VERSION 2 is a new save file from the very beginning for version .55.
REQUIRES
Shadow - The Dark Husky (standalone Companion) 2.0
Notice this not the default file that downloads off the front page, but is easy to find on the files page.

Still, suggest you use Companion Whistle by Raumfliege does not need to be after FROST.  http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13499/
for those awkward moments when your pet goes and disappears.

Enjoy!

OLD VERSION ------> FOR FROST .2
Includes female And male versions with default starting names and looks.  Some supplies can be taken from the room if you wish.  Dogmeat will be in the starting room with your character, unless he falls through the world again (or whatever happens to him).  There will be a companion whistle in your inventory, use it to summon your dog to you. Your dog will get lost a lot.

-Requires Frostmeat by FlawlessSin to loaded after FROST. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19665/
I am using the file FrostmeatProtected which re-balances the health and stats of Dog to about 1/2-3/4ths the original game. Also Dog (formerly Dogmeat) is marked as protected and will not die unless your character kills him.

I tested and it works with FROST v0.2

-Requires Companion Whistle by Raumfliege does not need to be after FROST.  http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13499/

I suggest using a re-texture of Dogmeat, since his name is actually Dog now.  Different dog, Different game play... seems right somehow.
The picture provided is a re-texture from Alternate Dogmeat by smorris2012 http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8106/
