About this mod

This mod adds the Remington 1875 Revolver to the game.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
VERSION 1.20 (this version comes in four variants, please read on to find out which one to download)

Variant 1
(needs Nuka World DLC)
: The Remington replaces the Western Revolver in Nuka World. The gun has roughly the stats of the Vanilla .44 and is not legendary. Additionally a legendary and overpowered version can still be found in the bank vault of the Commonwealth Bank near Faneuil Hall (as before). This variant is the one you get by downloading with the manager.
Download this if...
... you own Nuka World and want its revolvers replaced
... you want to have the regular and the overpowered version alongside

Variant 2 (needs Nuka World DLC): The gun found in the bank vault has roughly the stats of the Vanilla .44 (it's still legendary though). Western Revolvers in Nuka World are still being replaced.
Download this if...
... you own Nuka World and want its revolvers replaced but don't want any overpowered weapons in your game

Variant 3 (no DLC required): The overpowered gun is placed in the bank vault as a unique weapon, Nuka World Revolvers stay untouched.
Download this if...
... you want the overpowered version of the gun while still keeping the vanilla revolvers from Nuka World
... you own only the base game and want the overpowered version of the gun

Variant 4 (no DLC required): The regular stat gun is placed in the bank vault as a unique weapon, Nuka World Revolvers stay untouched.
Download this if...
... you want the regular version of the gun while still keeping the vanilla revolvers from Nuka World
... you own only the base game and want the regular version of the gun

Installation:
Variant 1: Just download and activate.
Variants 2,3 and 4: Download and activate Variante 1 first (it has all the main model and texture files), then download the .esp file for your favoured variant (under manual downloads) and overwrite Remington.esp in your Game/Data folder.

other changes since 1.11
- added workbench components (Corroded Steel 'Finish', Chrome Finish, Maple Grip, Walnut Grip, Scorched Grip)
- components now change stats of the gun (I know, there's no reason a maple grip should be any better or worse than a walnut one - but anyway...)
- very minor adjustments to the model to better fit animations

I hope I have most wishes covered now with the different download options. I consider this mod more or less done now. Maybe I'll still work on the materials and textures a bit, I'm not completely satisfied with them yet, but I'll take my time now.

VERSION 1.11

removed firing sound when melee attacking
fix for weapon being invisible

VERSION 1.10

fixed small animation bug (hammer was clipping when shooting)
fixed muzzle flash occuring in the wrong location (thanks for your help HelmoChipChop)
tweaked textures (little bit more contrast and detail)
added blue steel finish
added silver grip

The silver grip and the blued finish are constructible at the workbench. These are just cosmetic variations, they don't change the stats of the gun.

VERSION 1.00

This mod adds the Remington Model 1875 to the game, with scratchmade model and textures. It can be found inside the safe of the Commonwealth Bank near Faneuil Hall (see 2nd Video). You need to be 'expert' to hack the door terminal. An alternate way to get it is to open the console and type 'help remington 0'. Note the item ID of the line where it says 'WEAP'. Then type 'player.additem [fill in the ID without brackets].

The Remington's a unique weapon, it can't be found anywhere else (with Raiders, Gunners, in chests etc.) It's quite overpowered compared to the ordinary .44 (and most other vanilla weapons). No bullet-sponges with this gun.

I added 'Custom' to the name because the original 1875 Model had a fixed cylinder. Unfortunately, as I have no idea how to edit Fallout's animations (I hardly even get how textures are working in this game), I had to use the default loading animation of the .44
Also there are no modifications for the workbench, you'll have to go for the Ivory-Nickle combination.

Credits go to

covadonga - His mod 'Remington 1858 New Model Army' gave me the idea, my mod is based on his. There are still some remnants in the esp. file, and also the gun firing sound is the same. Thank you for your permission!

Some other mods used in the video are:

'Bullet Time' by registrator2000
'Toggle Revolver Fanning' by shavkacagarikia
'Terminator Synths' by SecretAgent99

This is a project I made in my rare free time, please don't expect extensive support. Also I'll take no responsibility if your computer explodes using this mod. That said, the mod works well for me, I dont't have any problems with it.
