ANNOUNCEMENT: V2 IS LIVE!!
I have decided to upload v2 as a separate mod, because it has changed so much from where this mod started, and I decided to keep this version around in case anyone preferred this one.  You can download the new version here!
Please note, v2 still uses the same file names, so downloading it and installing it will replace the files from this version.

DESCRIPTION (If you have questions, please read this, as I will not respond to anything that is already answered here):

The short version (tl;dr):

It's an armor mod.  Both male and female characters can use it.  And there was much rejoicing.  Yaaay.
The armor can be found in the hut just outside of Vault 111.

It currently only supports the vanilla body.  However, I know that a lot of people use CBBE, so I'm looking into making it compatible with CBBE/Bodyslide.  Stay tuned for future updates.

I'm okay with people using this for their own mods, or making their own modification of it, but I'd prefer you contact me first if you intend to upload said modifications.
I do not permit uploading this mod on other sites.

This is my first mod I've ever released... so be as harsh and critical as you damn well please.

The long version:

Who?

My name is Praeter Victus (Vic for short), and this is my favorite modding community on the Citadel!
I've made a lot of my own personal mods since all the way back in the days of Morrowind, but this is my first public release.  So like I said, be as critical as you want.  Tear it apart.  Make me feel like the filthy little scumbag that I am, cuz that's the only way I'll learn.  Just keep in mind, I will remember your name. >:)

What?

It's an armor mod.  What do you want, a poem?
Well, by unpopular demand, you're going to get one! In the form of a haiku:

I made some armor
And the awesomeness thereof
Was mighty indeed

There isn't really much to it right now.  The design was inspired by a mixture of the snow combat armor from Fallout 3, the Spartan armor from Halo, and various other sci-fi influences.
It has the stats of Combat Armor.  At this current point in time, it can't be upgraded or modified in-game, mainly because I'm pretty new to this version of the Creation Kit, and I'm still learning all the nuts and bolts.  But I plan to make future versions that include crafting mods, as well as additional skins (including faction-based ones).  For now, it is simply an armor mod there for looks.
This mod includes armor for the chest, arms, and legs which have ballistic and energy damage resistance, as well as a tactical belt with pouches to increase carry weight.  I've found this looks best over the BOS Uniform underamor.

Where?

It's located in a footlocker inside the metal hut right next to the vault door outside of Vault 111.  It currently cannot be crafted, as once again, I'm still learning how to use the Creation Kit, but I plan to include that in a future update.  I included 5 of each piece, in case you and your companions want to look like an organized group of badasses.

When?

That's not even applicable in this context.  Why would you even ask that?  Jeez, people these days.

Why?

When I first saw the mesh for the Heavy Leather Armor, I had a vision.  A vision of a futuristic suit of armor.  So... yeah, I went ahead and made it. :P
Plus, I wanted something a little more sci-fi looking, since most of the armor and attire in this game looks like it's been sitting in a filthy, irradiated wasteland for 200 years.  Go figure.
I plan to make more mods with a futuristic sci-fi theme.  It's been 200 years, people. Time to start moving forward.

How?

Magic... the darkest magic.
All I really did was retexture a couple pieces of Leather Armor.  I decided to make the chest piece and the belts separate items just to give people options.  If I ever learn how to do 3d modeling for Fallout 4 - and acquire the necessary tools for such - I may make additional changes, but right now, what you see is what you get.  Like I said, future versions will include additional textures.

"But Vic," you ask, "is it lore friendly??"
Hell if I know! Who's to say some random dude didn't feel like making some shiny futuristic looking armor and decided to leave it conveniently outside of Vault 111?
In all seriousness, I can't really say whether not this is lore friendly.  As far as I'm concerned, it fits my Fallout 4 canon, but it's really up to y'all.  In my game, it's the armor the Minutemen use after (SPOILER ALTERT) the Sole Survivor becomes director of the Institute and officially makes the Minutemen the military branch of the Institute.  Get creative, you'll come up with something!

Hope you enjoy my first mod ever!  Feedback is hugely appreciated, so feel free to criticize it all you want.  Just keep in mind, I have a lot of responsibilities IRL, so updates may be few and far between.
