THIS IS ---NOT--- FOR ASXAS' M1 GARAND MOD! IT WILL NOT WORK!
IMPORTANT STUFF: REQUIRES LEO2LINK'S M1 GARAND MOD, HERE: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15119/?
Leo has hidden his mod- but I will leave this up in case you didn't see this before.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO UPGRADE FROM TERRIBLE, BROKEN VERSION 1 FIRST, PLEASE.
I HAVE THE POWER!
The old retexture was not the greatest mod ever made. It had several bugs and glitches that I couldn't fix, so guess what? I started over, building off of the original .esp. Everything should be in working order now. I even made several texture upgrades and bugfixes to the original mod! However, new .esp means special upgrade instructions.
So now, I present:
1. Change all parts on your M1's to the standard versions.
2. REMOVE M1GARANDRETEX.ESP!!!
3. Install this mod (NMM or Manual.) OVERWRITE ALL FILES.
4. you have to upgrade the parts again, I'm afraid. You should use the command console (press ~) and type "help (KEYWORD from item you had before, like 'match'4" and find the id of the miscmod you had on your weapon. For example, it will say [ MISC 'Match Stock' (itemid)] (I have included a picture.)
Type "player.additem (itemid) 1"
5. Apply the mod in the workbench.
I'm really sorry it has to be this way. I couldn't make it work with the old .esp. If this is your first time downloading, you need not worry about this.
MANUAL INSTALLATION:
1.Make sure your .ini files are configured correctly for custom content.
2. Download the file manually.
3. Extract the file and place the contents of the folders in the folder of the same name in your Fallout 4 directory. (eg. copy the contents of the "data/materials/weapons/m1 garand" folder into the "...data/materials/weapons/m1 garand" folder in your fallout 4 directory.) Overwrite when necessary.
3. Overwrite the .esp file in your data folder.
5. Enjoy :)
I have included some lighter grey metal textures, should you wish for those.
Known Bugs: will be updated periodically, should new issues occur.
1. the bolt and Op Rod are misaligned on the standard receiver. I don't think it looks any worse than the original, myself, but I'll leave that up to you. Advanced receivers look fine.
