Inspired by Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Pierre Henry and more. Some pieces of the sound design have also been replaced. Quest sounds have been replaced the sound of a typewriter. In the city ambiance, I have inserted citations from Philip K. D!ck, Carl Sagan and Richard Feynman. There are many other references to science-fiction movies and music !
The Walt Dangerfield Orbital Radio Station is available, It broadcast 2 audiobooks, "Beyond Lies the wub" and "Second variety". For a long time ago, I wanted to write a musical hommage to Philip K. D!ck, Fallout 4 seemed to me the best support to share it. The reading of Dr Bloodmoney novel and all his work on perception, reality and post nuclear world are in the middle of the fallout series background. The key principle in my composition was driven by the questions: “what kind of music an author in a post-apocalyptic world would create ?” and "What kind of music should enhance more and more the reading of all this fantastic books ?"
For technical reasons, I regretfully could not work only with analogical hardware, which to me would have been the method the most faithful to the game. Consequently, I have used a maximum of analogical synthesizer to catch the spirit.
Enjoy Fallout 4 with a new full post-apocalyptic Philip K. D!ck soundtrack.
Available the 5th january 2022 on all the streaming plateform (spotify, youtube, deezer, etc ...)
