This is just a tweak of Xeno666's v1.2 NoSpinUp mod (which eliminates spin-up time on the Gatling Laser and accelerated Minigun), but I've also fixed the Gatling Laser's fusion core ammo limit.
Normally, if you have the Repair Bobblehead and/or Nuclear Physicist perk, fusion cores used in the Gatling Laser still have to be replaced after 500 shots, but return to your inventory partially depleted, piling up in your inventory and unusable as ammo. With this mod, the ammo capacity of the Gatling Laser increases with the addition of the bobblehead and perk, up to 1100 max (each level of Nuclear Physicist adds 125 shots, and the Repair Bobblehead adds another 10% to the total), and fully-depleted cores are removed from your inventory.
This mod makes the Gatling Laser significantly more powerful due to removing its main drawback (the spin-up time) and increasing its ammo capacity dramatically with the right perks. Since the Gatling Laser SHOULD be one of the most powerful weapons in the game, and previously it was inferior to Spray n' Pray and many other lighter guns, I see no problem with this, but it does change the game balance. Gatling Lasers in FO3 and FNV did not have a spin-up time, and spin-up lag does not occur in real gatling guns, so I consider this mod lore-friendly as well as more realistic.
Feel free to use this file, but per Xeno666's request, credit them as the original creator, and give me some credit, too, or just base your mod on theirs.
If you want a mod that does the same fusion core fix without removing the spin-up, get Doom1991's Gatling Laser Fusion Core Fix.
Note that this mod does NOT fix some other Gatling Laser-related bugs I've noticed, such as the game removing the core from the Gatling Laser when your power armor core depletes, or how it loads a fresh core every time you switch back to the Gatling Laser after switching to another weapon. If these things are still bugging you, there are several mods on the Nexus that address these by simply changing the GL's ammo type.
