Update 4-29-2020
==============

This mod is no longer supported, and really hasn't been much supported since I made it back in 2016.
It was my first foray into Fallout 4 Modding, and it worked for a while, but I lack the desire to deal with Fallout, or Bethesda in general.

Anyone is welcome to look at how I did this mod, and continue the work with this mod as they see fit, but I won't be making any updates or fixing any bugs.

Try this amazing person's mod base on the idea of mine, but his probably works much better!

Overview
========
Lucy Abernathy at Abernathy Farm provides a Caps for Melons quest, not unlike Greygarden's Caps for Mutfruit.
However unlike Greygarden's, which continues to work after "Troubled Waters" completes, Lucy's quest no longer works after "Returning the Favor"

-Lucy, before you own Abernathy Farm, remains unchanged. (This includes some buggy behavior.)
-Lucy, after you own Abernathy Farm, has been modified to work pleasantly.

Details
======

Before you own Abernathy Farm, Lucy will only ever introduce the idea of being paid for Melons once, if you walk away from her you can't restart that conversation. I didn't want to actually "edit" any of Bethesda's code on this one. It's there for posterity.

BUT

After you own Abernathy Farm, Lucy will be interactive.

-If you are holding Melons, she will offer to buy them for 3 Caps per Melon
--(Note: she still takes ALL of the Melons you are holding)
--(Note: her Bottlecaps and Melons are not attached to her settler inventory)
---(That means no infinite trade loops, you cheeky cheaty cheetah you)

-If you are NOT holding Melons, she will ask if you are there to Work.
--All of the conversation options about Caps, Dollars and Coins, Clarabell, and Brahmin are also preserved.
--You can haggle her up to 5 Caps per Melon. (Which is permanent once haggled)
--Her responses change based on whether or not Clarabell is alive

AND

There is an option to inspect her gear, just like any other settler

Immersion/Lore:
===============

At 1 Charisma: Melons sell for 2, but cost 20
At 10 Charisma & Caps Collect 3: Melons sell for 5, but cost 7 (if the merchant likes you)

So even at 5 Caps per Melon, the Worst/Best the family gets for profit is 2 Caps/18 Caps respectively.

Testing / Advice
==============

I have tested most situation I can think of:
Not-Owning Abernathy Farm ("Returning the Favor" Quest)
Owning Abernathy Farm ("Returning the Favor" Quest)
Clarabell Alive/Dead

I haven't tested getting Abernathy Farm with other quests later in the game (Minute Men Radiants),
but the way I've coded Lucy, it shouldn't matter how you get it, only that you own Abernathy Farm.

I also didn't test this with female players ... kinda slipped my mind actually. Shouldn't break >.> I hope.

Constructive criticism on what I've done is always appreciated.
Also any other "bugs" like this that you know about so I can practice modding some more would be nice.

Recognition where its due:
=======================

MajorSlackVideos (Youtube) - Who inspired me to fix Lucy. (Yay Melon Farms!)
Seddon4494 (Youtube) - Whose videos helped me ... (Although I watched his videos after I made the mod)
TrekFox and RoytheWolfe - Because let's face it, you two are the ONLY people who actually watch my stream.
(Insert shameless Twitch.tv/Tangent_Turner plug here)

Only Read the Following is you want to know exactly what I've changed.
***************************************************************************************************
Before Owning Abernathy Farm remains un-edited. Lucy was built with a check to see if the player owned the Farm, and not to offer any interaction if the player does.

I duplicated the dialogue entries for Intro and Melon
I changed all of the dialogue pieces there, into shared dialogue pieces so they would load in the duplicate entries
I changed the phase references
Referenced a couple shared player responses for settlers
And edited the intro entry from:
"yes, no, maybe, how much" (yes, no, and maybe had the same RESPONSE!)
to
"Maybe, Farm seems nice, how much, trade gear" (Maybe, because the only way you get these choices is by NOT having melons on you.)
