A Note
PiRelli has given me permission to add my own optional file to his/her/their wonderful mod. It makes Windmills a tad bit harder to craft, as more and rarer materials are required. It goes great with survival mode, and More Powerful Windmills. I personally use 5 power and x15 speed settings. (i'm a survival nut.)

What it does

What started as a small mod that made your generators consume fuel developed into a complete fuel system. This mod brings a whole new level of managing your settlements.

How it works

By activating your generators you now have 4 options:
1. Start/Stop the generator
2. Refuel the generator. For that you must have a "Gas Canister" or "Biogas Canister" or any type of alcohol in your inventory.
3. Check current fuel
4. Turn on/off automatic refueling

You can build "biomass Containers" in your settlements. Putting food in them (or your workshop's inventory) will make them produce biomass over time. You can use biomass to craft biofuel at the chemistry station.

Installation & Updating

Use a mod manager of your choice or dump the files into your Fallout4/data folder. Since this mods changes existing objects you might have to rebuild your generators for the mod to take full effect. Simply store the generators and place them again. Please also do this when updating.

Compatibility

This mod only effects the three vanilla generators. Any modded generators will not be affected by the mod (they will work normally).

Future Updates

-Small, medium and large generators should not be treated equally.
-The generators currently don't consume fuel whenever you are sleeping or waiting.
-Compability for mods that introduce new generators.
-Currently only some Gas Canisters can be used to refuel.
-The current cunsumption values are mere placeholders. I'm gonna rebalance that soon.
-Implement a system that allows you to pick what item you want to use for fueling.
-Improve the "Biomass Containers" so you can produce multiple biomasses at the same time with one container.
-Automatic refueling.

-It is now possible to craft Gas Canisters and Biogas Canisters

-Food in your workshop's inventory will now automatically be used to produce biomass, so it's useful to produce more food in your settlements than you need

-Fixed a bug that caused generators to start running for a short amount of time when refueling etc.
