Improves the burning damage of beta/gamma wave tuners, Shishkebab and the legendary "Incendiary" effect.

I'm no longer playing Fallout 4, so this mod will probably not get updated any more. If it is broken please PM me and maybe I fix it.



This mod makes certain burning damage effects unaffected by energy resistance. Furthermore the burning damage duration is no longer increased on consecutive hits, but instead the burning damage stacks.


Affected Weapons:

  • Shishkebab
  • Make-A-Bot Shishkebab
  • Every Institute Laser Gun, Laser Gun, Plasma Gun, Gatling Laser with a Beta/Gamma wave tuner
  • Every weapon with the legendary "Incendiary" effect like "Ashmaker"

Options:

  • "Extra Long" increases Duration of Burning Damage from 3s to 5s
  • "Super Hot" adds "Immolate" CritEffect to Beta, Gamma and Boosted Gamma Wave Tuner for Laser and Plasma Weapons, which will replace default CritEffect


Conflicts:

None known to me, but could conflict with other mods that alter burning damage or the Shishkebab.

Changes explained:

What i haven't changed is the actual burning damage, this means that a Beta Wave Tuner still does 3 Damage/s for 3s per hit and a Gamma Wave Tuner does 5 Damage/s for 3s per hit. My Mod just changes how consecutives hits with a burning weapon are handled. Lets say you have a beta wave tuned laser shotgun which you fire twice. You hit with 6 and 4 projectiles.

Without this mod you would get 3 damage/s for 18 seconds, which gets extended to 3 damage/s for 30 seconds with your second shot.

With this mod you get 18 damage/s for 3 seconds and another 12 damage/s for 3 seconds with your second shot.

With and without this mod you would get a total of 90 points burning damage, it is just the time it takes for it to apply, that changed. Additionally i removed the applied energy resistance, because ever single hit would be reduced drastically by it.

As a bonus the VFX now get applied multiple times, so your enemies will really burn more than before.
