I have FINALLY made this mod FULLY FUNCTIONAL.
Danse will now NO LONGER be attacked by the Brotherhood, even after you dismiss him.
Please, remove the old ESP and download the new ESP.
I have the No Preset Fix, Preset Lock, and Clean face version available.
No longer must Danse hide and cower in shame and fear of the Brotherhood's mighty wrath.
He is now a free man. Loved by all, except for..ya know, raiders..and deathclaw..and..hmm.
Jokes aside, this took a shit-ton of digging in the CK, changing and rechanging,
testing and retesting. I am proud to say this new version is fully functional,
(To my knowledge, lmao).
I do not know how it will work for Pre-End Game,
but you're welcome to test that and let me know.
Same thing goes for activating it, as before.
Before activating the ESP, Dismiss Danse, Save your Game, exit, activate ESP, and recruit Danse. If the BoS are hostile, wait THREE in-game days, and the temporary crime script should bugger off. I will be keeping an eye on how this mod gets affected by updates from Bethesda, so if it gets knocked down again, I'll try my best to fix it.
Thank you all for your patience and support!
OLD ESP WARNINGS BELOW
WARNING INFORMATION BELOW. PLEASE READ.
YOU MUST DISMISS DANSE AND THEN HAVE HIM REJOIN YOU FOR THE CHANGES TO TAKE EFFECT
IF YOU WERE USING THE PREVIOUS VERSION OF THIS MOD, CHANGE TO NEW!
The most recent Bethesda Update broke this mod, please, change to new one!
YOU MUST DELETE THE OLD ESP! THIS IS A COMPLETELY NEW ONE!
PLEASE, WAIT THREE DAYS IF THE BOS ARE ATTACKING YOU.
THAT IS THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES TO FORGIVE A CRIME.
AND ENABLING THE NEW ESP MAY ADD THE TEMPORARY CRIME SCRIPT.
THUS REQUIRING 3 DAYS OF WAITING.
YOU MAY HAVE TO DISMISS DANSE BEFORE ENABLING THIS ESP.
DISMISS HIM, SAVE GAME, QUIT, ENABLE ESP, THEN START UP GAME
AND RECRUIT HIM AS NORMAL.
Also, be wary of the HUD Targeting Mod when used with this ESP..
I'm not sure what that means, as I haven't been given enough information about this conflict..
But, there may be a conflict between the use. Which I assume is because it adds on a script,
which overwrites my edits. Still unsure.. But, yeah..
NOTE; I am pretty sure I can't fix it, that it is just an unavoidable bug. RIP
DESCRIPTION (SLIGHT SPOILERS)
Got tired of being attacked by the BoS even though I am allied with them.
I removed the Hostility Scripts in Danse's Factions scripts, so the Brotherhood should be friendly.
Though, I did notice the spotlights still make little chirps when you or Danse are in sight.
Not sure if this means that BoS turrets will attack you. I couldn't find any BoS turrets.
As an after-thought, I think the bunker Danse favours may have BoS Faction Turrets.
Going to have to check and see if they shoot at the player or Danse, though, if they do,
I'm unsure if I'd be able to alter that... Hmm.
ANYWAY! Enjoy this quick and dirty mod, I couldn't find one that changes this,
so I did it for my own playthrough and figured there's no harm in dropping it here for anyone.
Which has become..so much more than I bargained for. Lmfao.
Sorry if it's shite, kek.
Before anyone complains about it not being lore-friendly... (SPOILERS IN THE PARAGRAPH)
On my main character, the Brotherhood assumes Danse is dead, and I am 2nd in Command...
So for me, it feels as though they wouldn't attack me if I am with an unidentified person in Unmarked (Or even Marked) Power Armour.
Given that they think Danse is deceased. Now, granted, if he was out of his armour and people saw his face, I can understand shooting at a man they thought a traitor and dead, but considering I usually have Danse masked, I feel the hostility script is a bit too crippling when constantly visiting the Prydwen.
NOTE; I am uncertain if this mod is compatible with other Danse-Related mods anymore after the update.
It was, but since I made his face locked in Vanilla Preset, you will more than likely need to patch your mod,
or just alter your own to do what mine does here. You can refer to my images section for how to remove the hostility scripts in the Creation Kit. It's fairly easy to do on your own with whatever Danse facial/mesh esp you have.
If you try to remove those scripts on your own and you need more insight on how to do that, just send me a message.
I can make and give you a simple step-by-step photo tutorial.
Thank you to all who commented/downloaded/endorsed!
I hope this helps you, and that you enjoy being able to travel freely with Danse, again!
NOTICE; [ " Still not a good idea to dismiss Danse to the Boston
AIrport as he'll still turn hostile and all hell will break loose. As
long as he's your companion all will be fine. " Schr0592 ]
So, please, for Danse's safety, do not dismiss him to the Boston Airport.
Also, DO NOT dismiss him when NEAR the Boston Airport. Or near ANY BOS.
I tested that, and they still attacked. Big thanks to Schr0592 for letting me know about this!
ALSO, if you dismiss Danse to a settlement, then call a Vertibird, and the Vertibird sees Danse.
They will attack Danse. He MUST be your COMPANION for this script to work.
Do NOT call a Vertibird around Danse if he's not in your party.
IF DANSE IS STILL HAVING FEATURE CHANGES FOR YOU, PLEASE, FOLLOW THESE STEPS. I FIGURED OUT WHEN I EDITED THE FILE, I FORGOT TO FLAG HIS PRESET.

so don't expect too much from it, other than being basic and slightly shitty.
