This is an extensive re-balancing of weapons, particularly guns and energy
weapons. I haven't really touched melee weapons as I think they were
much better balanced as-is. I changed the base damage of each gun to be
much more realistic, using a formula based on the muzzle energy of the
cartridge used. Also altered the caliber used by a couple guns (so for
example combat rifle now uses 5.56 by default, deliverer uses .38),
reduced the extra weight of more advanced receivers, but also nerfed their damage
significantly. I also renamed the assault rifle "Lewis Gun" since it's
clearly not an assault rifle, lol. Some weapons are essentially
unchaged, some are much stronger with base stats, although most mods
will not increase damage by nearly as much. I edited a few of the high
end mods to also upgrade the caliber, for greatly increased damage at
the cost of higher weight and lower ammo capacity. So with my mod a
.50-cal hunting rifle is rather devastating, although very heavy. You
will also find that enemy difficulty is *much* more determined by what
weapons they are using than just by what level they are.
This is designed to feel better balanced with my survival rebalance mod, but it usable on its own.
