About this mod

Turns the General Atomics Galleria into a settlement.

Changelogs
My first mod, this file does just what the title says: Makes the Galleria into a functioning settlement. It is far from perfect, with some things still broken or weird looking (the border for instance).  The workbench is located next to one of the buildings.

Special thanks to Tarsis31, all credit for fixing this mod should go straight to him, I was ready to write it off as impossible.  Please check out his other mods at the bottom of the description!

OK Ladies and Gentlemen, when entering the slightly improved GAG (lol) there are some recommendations. I recommend you open the Galleria before opening the workbench. I recommend you give the robots time to clean up after opening the Galleria before opening up the workbench.
Spoiler:
Show
Let the Director give 3 announcements after telling the robots to get the place cleaned up, then zone somewhere (Bowling Alley is fine, fast travel, whatever). When you return, most of the trash will already be cleaned up, Slo-Bean will have fixed the gas leaks, the Waitron will have his program rebooted, the demonstration models will detect faulty coding and self disable.
This will allow built in collision boxes and other things to be naturally removed and make your friendly robot settlement that much nicer! After clean up has occurred, simply approach the workbench to be given ownership. I had made it much more complex, then realized that we would be spammed with bug reports of the workshop not working.  --Tarsis31  PS 0.5 changes in the change log, it's what I do

Update 0.3 Fixes:
  • Laid further groundwork for normal settlement integration, that's now 100% my next issue, and boy is it a pain.
  • Thanks to the efforts of speedynl and Interknet, settlers will now come if you put up a beacon.  It just takes a couple days in game time.

Issues with 0.2.3:

  • Automatron DLC is a master for the file.  If you don't have the DLC, you can keep using the mod as it doesn't actually use anything from Automatron anymore.
  • Beacons may work when off but not on sometimes, though they do attract followers when broadcasting regardless.
  • You may lose the ability to sprint inside the area, it returns after walking or traveling to another area.
  • Turrets may fire upon Mr. Gusty and Mr. Handy robots in the area, go through Sprocket's dialog before placing them to fix this (they fire on the demonstration bots.)
  • Settlement cannot be used with followers, provisioners, etc.
  • Right now, some objects aren't scrappable.  I will either remove these items, replace them with scrappable items, or find a way to make them scrappable.
  • Mr. Gustys and Mr. Handys in the area are not settlers or Automatrons, I will try to fix this if I can.
  • The green border is not always flush with the ground, its on my list when I figure out how to edit meshes.

Thing's I've changed from the vanilla area:

  • Removed a mine from beneath a car that, upon detonating, would render the car unscrapable.
  • Removed a wooden plank from the bed of a truck that was unscrapable and would float in mid-air if the truck was scrapped.
  • Removed some objects that couldn't be scrapped.
  • speedynl changed the leveling of the area from 1-99.

Lastly...

I hope you guys don't mind my furious update pace, it should slow down once I get most things set and working, but right now I can't wait to let you guys see what I'm working on! And don't hesitate to let me know what other areas you'd like to see as a settlement in the comments and discussion tabs!
