Just found out that Karel2015 created a mod that had pretty much the same idea 5 days prior to my mod so if you like this idea check out Wasteland Workshop - New Cages as well!

HOW TO INSTALL

Extract the contents of the rar file to your Fallout4/data folder.

Enable MoreCages.esp using a mod manager or manually.
Optionally enable MoreCages_Automatron.esp as well if you have Automatron DLC using a mod manager or manually. MoreCages.esp is required by MoreCages_Automatron.esp!

Ensure these lines appear in either your Fallout4Prefs.ini or Fallout4Custom.ini:

COMPATIBILITY

Needs Fallout 4 Wasteland Workshop DLC.

HOW TO USE IN THE GAME

You find the new cages in the Workshop menu under Medium Cages and Large Cages.

KNOWN ISSUES

The collision of some of the upscaled meshes are not perfect. I couldn't import the nif files of the new DLC neither in 3DS Max nor in Blender so I ended up using NifSkope and the results are far from perfect. Featurewise the mod itself works 100% it's just not polished to my taste of quality yet and sometimes creatures crawl out from the wrong sides of cages.
If anyone can help me properly scaling collisions for animated Furniture objects in NifSkope or any other tool that currently works with the latest nif files of Fallout 4 DLCs that would be much appreciated! Failing that I will fix these issues as soon as the CK comes out.

FUTURE PLANS

Fixing some collision problems. Adding details to meshes and textures.
