This is a Laserblade. It's an institute melee weapon used by synths in the field. In an attempt to spice up the load out that synths default with, which consists of ONE FUCKING WEAPON, THE STUN BATON. WHAT IS THIS BETHESDA, HALF LIFE 2? LIKE WHAT THE HELL, THESE AREN'T GOD DAMN METRO POLICE THEY'RE AN ADVANCED EVIL CORPORATION BENT ON THE DESTRUCTION OF THE OLD WORLD AND.. Actually half way through that thought I now see the connection with Half Life 2 and am no longer upset. 

Anyway, it does 16 laser damage, and you can find it on synths. Since they only have two weapons to choose from it should be pretty common. 

It also glows in the dark, so that's a bonus. 

Also yes, I took inspiration from the Mandalorian Darksaber, just tried to make it look more gritty because Fallout. 



So Synths. Their loadout kindof sucks, and I want to make more futuristic weapons for them, but I'm stuck for ideas. I don't want to default to a laser katana or a lightsaber because that shit's boring, but if any of you have ideas for futuristic or institute styled melee weapons that I could make, feel free to comment on youtube/the nexus and let me know. 

Also, I'm gonna make a kick-ass black and red one but I'm not doing it until creation kit comes out, since I want it to be a unique more powerful version of the original, and I want to make it loot from a Rogue Courser that you have to find and duel. Actually on that note I plan on making unique versions of all my melee weapons, but I have not yet for the same reason.
