Hardcore mode on - Stale food patch.
This is an add-on for the mod, Hardcore Mode On. Which you will need to install first...
Note... at present, this version stops milk from souring. When using alongside my Hardcore mode on new food patch v7.3, looking into finding out why.
This is a small add-on, changing multiple stale food types. Which just clutter up your inventory, with junk. Into one STALE FOOD item.
This item can be turned into FERTILIZER, using a new section in the Chem lab entitled RECYCLING...
- 10 Stale food items = 1 Fertilizer...
- Stale food... +200 carryweight, +4 melee attack strength, -4 health per second ( lasting for 1 minute ).
STALE FOOD... It is now a tactical item, as well as a source for making fertilizer.
Reason...
The radioactive foods of the wasteland, don't break down naturally. They just transform into another chemical filled, radioactive, toxic mess...
If consumed, it will slowly kill you for 1 minute. But will also grant you extra strength, allowing you to carry more. Also making your melee attacks more powerful, if you can keep on top of your ebbing health bar, that is...

Installing...
1. Make sure Hardcore mode on is installed.
2. Install this patch for Hardcore mode on.
As with any mod you install, make a new save after you install it, so you can backtrack if anything goes wrong...
Un-installing...
1. Load the game, check your status in your Pipboy, making sure you don't have any status effect from your food.
2. If you do, then just wait or sleep, or sit in a chair and wait, until your status effects are gone.
3. Save your game ( new save ), then uninstall this mod...
4. Reload your game, and check everything is okay...
Updating to a newer version...
1. Load the game, check your status in your Pipboy, making sure you don't have any status effect from your food.
2. If you do, then just wait or sleep, or sit in a chair and wait, until your status effects are gone.
