COOL WASTELAND - RESHADE PRESET
Cool Wasteland is a preset for ReShade 3

FEATURES
- Cooler color palette (More blue+green, less red - This removes the colorful warm/orange look of Vanilla game)
- Outwashed look, reduced saturation
- Darker, more vibrant Sky
- Dynamic depth of field

- More sharpness & details (better looking textures)
- decent grain-effect for reducing color-banding
- No FPS drop
INSTALLATION
For using this preset you need ReShade v3.
Download Reshade: http://reshade.me/
Install ReShade & Preset:
STEP 1
Download ReShade Installer and select Fallout 4 Game EXE "fallout4.exe".
Click on "Direct3D 10+" button (it's already selected so click again) and accept downloading collection of standard effects from github. Select all, press OK.
STEP 2
Locate Cool Wasteland folder in your FO4 Data Folder (Download with NMM)
Copy "Cool_Wasteland_1_2.ini" to your main Fallout folder. (steam/steamapps/common/fallout4)
That's it. Start the Game.
There's an initialisation lag during loading screen.
Open ReShade overlay by pressing "SHIFT+F2". You can follow the integrated tutorial.
STEP 3
SELECT COOL WASTELAND 1.2 PRESET IN OVERLAY TO APPLY SETTINGS
ReShade should now work.
Add this to dxgi.ini (Fallout main folder) to enable HOTKEYS:

KeyScreenshot=44,0,0
KeyEffects=145,0,0
- Access ReShade interface by pressing "SHIFT+F2"
- You can turn off ReShade by pressing the "SCROLL"-KEY.
- Pressing "PRINT" allows you to save PNG Screenshots in your Fallout 4 folder.
- You can toggle the DOF with the "PAUSE"-KEY
- If you don't like the DOF you can deactivate it permanently:
- Open ReShade interface and Toogle off "Matso-DOF".
ENJOY!
HOW TO select preset ("Press SHIFT+F2"), then simply choose file in drop down menu.
INSTALLATION V 1.1 (OLD FILE)
For using this preset you need the ReShade 1.1 Framework (Legacy).

1)
Install ReShade & Preset:
Download ReShade 1.1 files, unzip and copy "ReShade" folder and "ReShade.fx" into your Fallout 4 main-folder.

For 64Bit OS:
Rename "ReShade64.dll" to "dxgi.dll". and copy to your main Fallout folder.
For 32Bit OS:
Rename "ReShade32.dll" to "dxgi.dll". Same thing.
3)
Just place the "Cool Wasteland" config Files in your ReShade folder. That's it!
- You can turn off ReShade by pressing the "SCROLL"-KEY.
- Pressing "PRINT" allows you to save PNG Screenshots in your Fallout 4 folder.

TURN OFF DOF
- You can toggle the DOF with the "PAUSE"-KEY (v1.1)
If you don't like the DOF you can deactivate it permanently:
Open "McFx.cfg" with notepad, search for "#define USE_DEPTHOFFIELD 1" and change the value from"1" to "0" - Save & exit. Enjoy!
GRAPHICS AND PERFORMANCE

- True Storms
- Brighter Settlement Lights
- Darker Nights
This preset should work fine with AMD/Nvidia mid-class single GPUs and won't drain your peformance.
The Preset was tested with AMD Radeon R9 290X XFire 4GB VRAM, Intel i7 4770K @4,5Ghz 16GB RAM - 1080p, Ultra Settings.
No impact on performance, if you experience issues you can leave a comment.
KNOWN ISSUES
- DOF not working while in Power Armor.
