Chance was on her side when Dogmeat stumbled upon her Very well done.
Your take on arrival in the commonwealth is a very cool one, I raise my thumbs for your creativity in thinking that out.
It did make me curious for how this will evolve,..
Great read, I love checking out other writers and it's nice to see folk break away from some of the established story. Love the work all around! And props on keeping the images to the story, I'm more inclined to taking shots like wolfgrimdark does.
Glad you enjoyed the read though, aswell as the breaking away from the default Game's Pathing through the Commonwealth. Guess one could say that this "get away" is one of my favorite things about writing 'fan fic' for beth-titles .. trying to get away from the default-quest story so to speak while still being close enough to keep reference points that make it possible to relate back to the base game / story told by beth.
I honestly would prefer if I could break the habbit of going all out on Images - but I picked it up a while back in Skyrim and just can't shake obsessing about trying to at least set it up somewhat fitting to what I'm writing .. often that ends up taking several hours until I get a shot I like .. other times it just happens while playing the game and seeing something happen due to the interactions of the AI ..
and rambling again .. so in short - thank you
Also knowing a bit about her character I think you did well focusing on her style and interactions with others versus combat shots. She has a different story to tell I think and perhaps one less visceral and bloody then Kaths.
Also glad you liked the Images and found them fitting .. and think that it works for her so far and indeed, she is far less combat focused than Kath .. where Kath is often "shoot first, ask later" she is very much "ask first, ask again and only than shoot .. maybe" ..
