Thank god I found out more about gunners, or how they SHOULD have been, and someone literally forced me to give Mac a chance.. I would really miss him not being around. But I'll never, never ever work with a Raider, just as much as I would never work with an institute courser! xD

I don't care for the gunners but Mac left the gunners. Course I ignored Mac my first play through thinking he was more like Cait - basically an asshat and more for the darker or evil characters. But Mac is actually a decent guy deep down with a good heart - it is just buried under a lot of pain and hardship he has had to deal with in life. He also doesn't put up with whiners. He expects people to take care of themselves and not ask for hand-outs. But those who are at least trying he often doesn't mind helping. He just doesn't believe in hand-outs and neither do I so we get along well. Course Fenn is a bit more diplomatic (being a sweet talker) then Mac always likes - Mac tends to like a more black and white approach with an emphasis on the physical - meaning less peaceful solutions. But overall they get along well.
The Coursers strangely don't bother me as they are just programmed robots for the most part. But raiders are mostly psycho-paths. Not all of them are born that way but they get twisted and broken often by other raiders. In the end, just like the Coursers, they have to be stopped regardless of how they got the way they are.
Gen1 and Gen2, yeah, they're more like robots, although I wouldn't want to call Nick one... xD He may not like it much.
But I agree that coursers need to be stopped - just like raiders and everyone/everything else that is a threat.
About MacCready, I don't know if it's with the localisation or not, but if you know him bettter, he's actually quite soft on the inside. y'know the talking about a shoulder to lean on and stuff... ^^" Yeah, he tries to get along, and tries to be seen as a hard guy, but he's refreshingly 'normal'. I like his sarcasm, and the comments he gives while traveling with him. And he's indeed one of the companions who give me the XY didn't like that message box. Guess I'm too soft... ^^" But overall we seem to do pretty good. I just can't go without him anymore.
As far as I can tell the Englsih version of him is okay, guess I just like his German voice better. English Preston (apart from the accent which is totally gone in the German version) is really awful. I'm sorry but... no, no no! *shudders* Fallout 4 is one of the very little games where in my oppinion the German localisation is actually better than the original one. Usually it's the other way round. It's even soooo much better than Skyrim, although they're both Bethesda games.
Danse and Nick are pretty close to each other in German and English, though. There's not much difference in my oppinion.
Oh yes while I think of it, when you changed Mac size did you did it in ck on his npc file or in game with console commands, working on custom tats for all my followers and making them not all same height and weight , want them to be different then the rest of the game npc. New faces, new bodies, new skins for each of them. Then smart girl I am going be this time, back up all on other computer then can't be a dumb ass again
I think the ending that does the least damage is siding with MM and then you only have to destroy the INST - and you can let many of the Synths, scientists, and residents escape in the process so more destroying the place then the people (although some die defending it of course). So really the best since you have the least loss of life for everyone and are able to keep the peace with everyone else for the betterment of the Commonwealth.
I used the console. Soon as I am done at the mirror at the start of the game I set Fenn at size 0.95 and Mac at 1.2 (using PRID of course as the character doesn't actually have to be there to do it). That way when I first meet Mac he is already the way he should be in Fenn's world.
I will mostly go with MM even though well Preston is the least one I like but I did get a really cool over haul that makes it so Preston is not every moment of every day giving you a settlement quest
I have been working on how I could restart with Fenn again (just adore him too much, even more than Grim, to not play him) as more of a melee character.
I got a practical solution if duller solution and a fun B-movie retro science fiction like solution (that would be very appropriate to this FO universe) if not very practical and makes less sense.
So working on that for now :-)
Good, that you didn't write so much this time... I normally have real problems to concetrate to the text, when you upload your certainly epic stories with these kind of marvelous images, Jon
