I decided to take a crack at a script-based mod, so this is my first. Took me quite a while but I was satisfied with the results.

[CHANGELOG FOR V1]

*[Almost] All regular weapons renamed to their real variations.
*This includes the official laser weapon names.
*Only two special weapons names edited, Fisto! and the Mysterious Stranger's gun. Kudos if you get the references.
*Most damages changed to higher or lower, for example : the silenced pistol and Chinese pistol are useful now.
*AP costs changed depending on power of weapon.
*Weights properly redone.
*Different attributes for unique weapons.
*Spread on some weapons made bigger or smaller.

[CHANGELOG FOR V2]

*Fixed typo on Snooker Cue.
*Lowered AP costs for Fisto! of the North Star.
*.44 magnum no longer has scoped in title.
*Combat Shotgun renamed to PPSh-41 Striker.
*Switchblade is now Chatellerault Blade.
*Nail Board is now Nail Paddle.

=Installation instructions=

1) Simply stick the .esp into C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data.

2) Activate this in the Data Files directory in the launcher [or through FOMM if you need to.]

3) Enjoy.

1) I am not sure of any bugs or conflicts with other mods, so please, inform me if you find one.

2) This is solely my modification and you may distribute or give to other people as long as credit is given to me.
