for DALLs - EBOT Safe House

v2.0

08/06/2013

EBOT Safe House is fight quest mod which adds to FO3 world one new (three levels) location, new weapons n armour as well as new potential PC Home and followers.

New weapons used throughout EBOT facility are silenced assault rifle - AK74, ammo-guzzling support machine gun - M249 SAW and superb tactical auto-sniper - Galatz. All these weapons are based on some of the most exiting FO3 weapons models ever made. Beside their good looks these guns have very heavy punch which makes them - if on their right side ;) - joy to use. There are two katanas as well.

Story: You probably would not know that this secret (EBOT) Safe House exist at all if it was not for the fact that someone named Max Fowler did not put very high prize on your head! As you are quite attached to your head and your life in general - you have made decision to bring Mr. Max instead - in bounty asked-for head - your loaded gun.

Start location for this mod is Anchorage War Memorial Area but you need to start it from somewhere else (there are some landscape changes). If you want / need to fast-travel to there use some near-by Map Marker like, Farragut West Metro Station, Dukov's Place or Wilhelm's Wharf rather then Anchorage War Memorial one! This applies only for the very first time / EBOT Safe House Quest start.

Word of warning this mod is not intended for low level beginners or those without any followers! Minimum practical level around 9 but 15 or more is recommended. Regardless of level be ready for some difficult odds! Weapons used by your enemies are made to behave in quite realistic fashion - which means if careless or unprepared you'll quite quickly die. Anchorage Bounty Hunters will give you fair idea what you are to expect inside EBOT.

NPC's you'll find in Safe House are good fun n potentially interesting companion material but they on their own won't do that as for it required scripting is not part or objective of this mod. To use them as such or simply to make them more interesting to behold use - as I do - some for it specialized (hire, have sex or add dialog script) mods like:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3040
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=632

Installation:

Extract or copy/paste all files into your Fallout 3 game folder. When you are asked to overwrite files under meshes and textures, select 'yes to all'. Activate Dalls_SafeHouse.esp mod plug-in to get it into game. Load order should not be of any importance but you must make addition to your game Archiveinvalidation.txt file to make/force game engine to load all new textures. That can be done manually but I would recommend use of:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=149
or

Bugs n problems: none known but as FO3 engine is quite quirky and sometimes gets it all wrong (NPCs and your followers not where they should be, NPCs emerging or dropping out of the most improbable places, everyone massed in some corner ...) - save often (preferably after fire-fight) and if this happens - quit game and try again from last OK save. If you die do not use Auto Load / Auto Load on Death saves as they usually contain flawed havok animations which can corrupt your later saves

Note on v2.0: Basically service update which fixes all previous inconsistencies and gives proper Quest packaging wrapper to this lot. New/updated textures which are must have for all digital monitor users. Bit of new info dialogue, one interesting NPC enabled and new to this mod in-house merchant with caps added. If old user your saves / acquired items should not be overly affected but as usually make clean save before update. Some minor (downscale) changes - some items n loot quantity stats. Retracing all your previous entry steps (to switch out new EBOT Quest triggers) is besides being recommended something you might want to do anyway as there is some new info n loot. Otherwise - similar to previous version.

Use:

This mod and files included are free to use but are not free modders resource! To use them in a part or full you need to contact me for permission.

Enjoy! ;)

Naturally thanks to Bethesda for the rest.
