This mod's goal is to reduce V-Ram usage for users of the "High" and "Very High" Settings. For those who want to use higher resolutions on some things, but have performance issues and don't care for certain details, then this is the mod for you.

By reducing in un-noticeable places, you should have more room for other things to be up sized.

All textures will be compressed with DXT1 compression.


This mod is part of the "Tweaking it Out" Project, whose goal is to provide the same or near same level of detail, at better FPS.

-Lod N-maps removed in favor of simply compressing the regular LOD texture.
-Compressed reduced grass texture.

v1.0 - Bucket load of textures changed, specifically in the vaults/cities/dungeons categories. 185 Textures in all.
Saving an estimated 40mb of V-ram overall.
v1.1 - 37 More textures done, this will be the final release for Bethesda default textures if there are no bugs or errors.
A total of 222 textures have been modified, an estimated 60mb in saving.

==Installation==

I now recommend the use of Archiveinvalidation Invalidated, which has been upgraded for use with FO3.

Also, change "binvalidateolderfiles=0" to "1" in "Fallout.ini" if this is your first mod.
