NEWS:
July 6th, 2009:
Brotherhood Outcasts: Diversification is now available here: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7558 . Also released a minor update for the vanilla release of BoS: D that lowers the DR of the Brotherhood Armor so that it's not so close to standard Power Armor DR.

July 5th, 2009:
Okay I lied about 2.5 being the final version. Due to valid arguments given by one "Rovole" I've decided to create a separate mod for the Outcasts, and as such I've renamed this mod to Brotherhood of Steel - Diversification, and have updated the ESPs to remove all traces of Outcast modification.

I've left the original 2.5 versions of Diverse Armor up for folks who prefer having the Outcasts the way they were in DA.

I can't imagine another update for this mod as the only reason I updated it now is due to this change of plans. I've also been in the planning stages of an Enclave Diversification mod for a while now, so after I finish up the Outcasts (which won't take long as they're a small group with very few NPCs) I'll probably get started on that as my next project. Expect the Outcast Diversification mod either today, or later in the week as time warrants.
------------------------------------------------------------
I always thought it was strange that the Capital Wasteland Brotherhood of Steel abandoned the T-51b Power Armor entirely for the T-45d that they all seem to be using in Fallout 3. What this simple mod does, is make the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 3 a little closer to the Brotherhood in Fallout 1 by making the Armor and Power Armor used by the Brotherhood of Steel dependent on class. Since the Knights now use T-45d armor which is by all means superior to Combat armor, I relegated Combat armor down to just the Initiates.

- Sentinel Lyons and all uniquely named Paladins now use T-51b Power Armor.
- All Brotherhood of Steel generic Paladin NPCs will also use T-51b armor.
- Initiate NPCs (including our favorite ill fated Initiate, Reddin) use Brotherhood Armor (a new variant of Combat Armor).

So now the Brotherhood of Steel should have these following uniform types sorted by position:
Initiate - Brotherhood Armor
Scribe - Scribe Robes (Unchanged)
Knight/Knight Captain - T-45d Power Armor (Unchanged)
Paladin/Sentinel - T-51b Power Armor
------------------------------------------------------------
Power Armor Revival Version:
This replacer ESP version is intended for people who use my recent Power Armor improvement mod (http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5234).
-----------------------------------------------------------
Operation: Anchorage Addon:
This addon ESP gives the Outcast Defenders and Protector included in the first DLC pack the Outcast T-51b Power Armor.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Broken Steel Addon:
This addon applies the Diverse Armor treatment to the new Initiates and Paladins introduced in Broken Steel. As with the standard version, most "standard" Paladins will have leveled equipment while named ones will usually have a single persistent conditioned set of armor regardless of your level.
-----------------------------------------------------------
3.1:
- Lowered the total DR of Brotherhood Armor in the vanilla version of the mod so it's 40 instead of 45.

Broken Steel Add On 3.1:
- Lowered the total DR of Brotherhood Armor in the vanilla version of the mod so it's 40 instead of 45.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Version History:

3.0:
- Renamed ESP files to fit the new mod name.
- Removed all traces of Outcast modifications.
- Removed the strange phantom modification to the Child Blastoff Helmet.

Broken Seel Addon 3.0:
- Renamed ESP files to fit the new mod name.

2.5:
- So unexpected and awesome that I skipped a number.
- The dead Brotherhood Initiate that you get the Medic Power Armor from is now a Knight.
- Added Brotherhood Armor for Initiates, a new variant of Combat Armor loosely resembling the Brotherhood Armor from Fallout and Fallout 2. The Armor has a 40 DR, plus an extra 5 with the helmet. The Power Armor Revival version also adds a +5 to Energy and Fire Resistance with the armor, and another +5 with the helmet.

Broken Steel Addon 1.3:
- Added Brotherhood Armor for Initiates, a new variant of Combat Armor loosely resembling the Brotherhood Armor from Fallout and Fallout 2. The Armor has a 40 DR, plus an extra 5 with the helmet. The Power Armor Revival version also adds a +5 to Energy and Fire Resistance with the armor, and another +5 with the helmet.

2.3:
- Fixed misspelling for the Lyons' Pride T-51b. (Was Lyon's Pride T-51b, oops!)
- Edited the Lyons' Pride T-51b texture so that the shoulder pads are dark gray instead of light blue. The light blue made absolutely no sense, either aesthetically or lore-wise.
- Added the Outcast badge to the right side of the Outcast T-51b chest plate texture.

Broken Steel Addon 1.13:
- Fixed misspelling for the Lyons' Pride T-51b. (Was Lyon's Pride T-51b, oops!)

2.21:
- Minor hotfix that will restore the CondPowerArmor leveled list to its proper standard Power Armor state.

2.2:
- Because of modifications added in Broken Steel I gave a T-51b Helmet to Paladin Bael so that he'd use that instead of a T-45d helmet during the Purifier assault.
- Because of modifications added in Broken Steel I gave a T-51b Helmets to all Lyons' Pride Paladins (except Sarah Lyons) so that they'd use those instead of T-45d helmets during the Purifier assault.
- Brotherhood Lookouts on the Southern wall of the Citadel now use the inventory of their source NPCs, so no more Paladins in Combat Armor guarding the southern wall.
- Changed the name of all T-51bs so that the faction name comes before the model number, example: T-51b Outcast Power Armor is now Outcast T-51b Power Armor.
- Removed the Brotherhood and Outcast faction Power Armors from the Citadel and Fort Independence Lockers that I modified back in 1.4.
- The standard Brotherhood T-51b now has complete texture replacement, so you can now use texture replacers for the T-51b in Fort Constantine without them conflicting with the Brotherhood T-51bs.

Anchorage Addon 2.02:
- Changed the name of all T-51bs so that the faction name comes before the model number, example: T-51b Outcast Power Armor is now Outcast T-51b Power Armor.

Broken Steel Addon 1.12:
- Changed the name of all T-51bs so that the faction name comes before the model number, example: T-51b Outcast Power Armor is now Outcast T-51b Power Armor.
- The standard Brotherhood T-51b now has complete texture replacement, so you can now use texture replacers for the T-51b in Fort Constantine without them conflicting with the Brotherhood T-51bs.

2.11:
- Power Armor Revival esp updated to use new T-51b PAR stats.

Operation Anchorage 2.01:
- Power Armor Revival esp updated to use new T-51b PAR stats.

Broken Steel 1.11:
- Power Armor Revival esp updated to use new T-51b PAR stats.

Broken Steel Addon 1.1:
- Fixed the Brotherhood Assault team that spawns with you inside of the Satellite relay.

2.1:
- Gave Paladin Vargas a Lyons' Pride T-51b Helmet to replace his recon helmet. I did this so that he'd use a T-51b helmet instead of a T-4X helmet during the final assault on the purifier.

Broken Steel Addon 1.0:
- New standard Initiate and Paladin NPCs each have leveled Combat and T-51b Power Armor respectively.
- New named Paladin NPCs like Tristan have a consistent set of T-51b Power Armor.

2.0:
- Restructured all Brotherhood NPCs so that their equipment is leveled.
- Repaired the leveled lists on the few remaining Brotherhood. NPCs I've missed.

Anchorage Addon 2.0:
- This will probably be the final version of the Anchorage Addon. Past versions were just a copy and paste of an early version of the original Diverse Armor ESP, now the addon only has any effect in the Outcast areas of the DLC eliminating any potential compatibility issues determined by load order.

1.51:
- Fixed the repair lists for all T-51bs in both the standard and Anchorage addon ESPs.
- Merged the standard Diverse Armor ESP and Power Armor Revival ESP into a single archive. If you want to use the PAR version, its location should be self explanatory when you download the standard BoS Diverse Armor archive.

1.5:
- Fixed the (hopefully last) instances of Brotherhood soldiers not having their proper armor due to leveled lists.

1.41:
- Fixed the Outcast T-51b Gloves.

Anchorage Addon 1.41b:
- Added the Outcast T-51b Glove Fix.

1.4:
- Fixed several leveled Brotherhood Paladin Special Encounters.
- Modified a locker in the Lyons' Pride barracks in Citadel A-Ring that contains one of each Brotherhood T-4X and T-51b Power Armor, including Lyons' Pride variants for those Power Armor collectors out there.
- Modified a locker in the Fort Independence barracks and added an Outcast T-4X, and Outcast T-51b to it for Power Armor collectors.

1.3:
- Initiates in the Citadel Bailey now wear combat armor. If you've already been to the Citadel they'll still be using Recon Armor; the only way around this is to use "Resurrect" on them via the console.

1.21:
- A minor update that replaces Shushoni's Outcast T-51b textures with the FOOK Outcast T-51b textures. The ESP file was NOT updated for this version, if you're updating from 1.2, all you need to do is install the textures folder included in the archive. This also applies to people using the Power Armor Revival ESP. Special thanks to SteGab1979 for sending the texture.

1.2:

General Fixes:
- The dead Knight you recover the Fat Man from on your initial visit to GNR has been renamed so that he's a Paladin.
- T-51b Power Armor is now repairable.

New Content:
- Brotherhood Paladins (not in the Lyons' Pride) now wear standard T-51b Power Armor with a Brotherhood of Steel badge on the left side.
- Sentinel Lyons and Lyons' Pride Paladins wear retextured T-51b Armor with the Pride symbol on the left side.
- Brotherhood Outcasts Protector Casdin, Defender Morgan and Defender Rockfowel wear red and black T-51bs with the Outcast symbol on the right side.

1.1:

General Fixes:
- The corpse of Initiate Jennings is now wearing Combat Armor.
- GNR Paladins now wear T-51b as long as they spawn after the activation of the mod.

Balance Fixes:
- Field Initiate Combat Armor Condition dropped from 100% to 45%, the same as the condition percentage of the T-4Xs they originally used.
- Paladin T-51b Armor condition percentage decreased to 35% from 100%.
------------------------------------------------------------
Known bugs:
- When loading into an in progress game NPCs that have already spawned won't be affected by this mod. The only way to fix this is to select them in the console and use the "resurrect" command.

------------------------------------------------------------
Compatability Issues:
Obviously there's going to be compatability problems when used with other Brotherhood of Steel NPC modifiers. Though theoretically, unless they alter what armor the NPC is wearing they should both work fine.

------------------------------------------------------------
F.A.Q.:

Q. Golly Gee Talonfire, I can't see the new textures!:

A. Fallout 3 doesn't read custom textures out of the box, download Archive Invalidated from here: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944.

Q. Why do the Paladins have that inferior looking model of Power Armor?

A. Actually, the T-51b is superior in every way to the T-45d that every Brotherhood member uses in the vanilla game.

Q. Are there going to be any further modifications to the T-45d and T-51b appearances?

A. I doubt it, I have no intention of touching the T-45ds at all and it's already enough of a stretch that the Lyons' Pride uses a recolored T-51b.
