About this mod

A western style 15th century sword. I guess there is enough of oriental blades in the game.:)

Permissions and credits
Version 1.3

Sword is now placed in Museum of History, Lower halls. See images for exact location.

Item code for those who would like to add it via console:
0x000ea8 where the x is the mod's number. If you use only one mod, it will be 01000ea8.

Otherwise it's the same model and textures, modified AP cost (15 -> 20) and value (100 -> 1000). Shame on me, I found that the previous version used AP cost I set very low so I can take screenshots easier. :) But I still think that 20 is pretty nice.

Version 1.2

Textures finished.

Note: the writing on the blade reads:

+ AUDENTES FORTUNA IUVAT

which means: "Fortune supports the brave".

Credits: I used images from this lovely site:

Sword can be found in Hollowed-Out Rock.

Important note: this mod uses different model and UV map than the previous one, I decided to use the larger variant. So if you have my previous mod please remove all files, and install everything new.

=====================================================

My first mod with my own model and texture. Right the texture is crappy. I'm still learning. So you know that I know and you don't have to tell me, and besides I added a UV map so if you can make a good texture please do!

The sword is shaped after my longsword, only the crossguard is straight on the model and blade has diamond crossection. But this was common in 15th century. Originaly I planned to make a longsword (so called hand and a half or bastard sword sometimes) but the 2hand melee animations in F3 simply suck so I scaled the original model down and make it a plain onehand sword. The blade should be maybe slighty wider at the base and the crossguard more robust, but the 15th century swords were sledner and elegant in general so this is not a big problem.

You can either start with the sword (player's dresser in Vault 101) or find it in Hollowed Out Rock close to Megaton. The sword is, logically, repaired with whetstones.:)

Have fun.
