About this mod

Renamed the three tiers of super mutants. Replaced Hunting Rifle and Nailboard. Increased health. Made centaurs more dangerous. I made this mod to go along with XFO Balance Overhaul and MMMF3. It doesn\'t make Super Mutants tediously difficult but still a challenge compared to most of the other enemies of the wasteland.

Title: Super Mutants Tweaked v02

Description:
Renamed the three tiers of super mutants. Replaced Hunting Rifle and Nailboard. Increased health. Made centaurs more dangerous. I made this mod to go along with XFO Balance Overhaul and MMMF3. It doesn't make Super Mutants tediously difficult but still a challenge compared to most of the other enemies of the wasteland.

Super Mutant Fodder (NEW)
200 Health
Nailboard
- This is a new Super Mutant to v02. Same health as Grunt but is such a FEV newbie that is only given a nailboard and no armor(uses the no armor Super Mutant skin, SMs are considered Creatures iN GECK and don't actually use armor).

Super Mutant Grunt
200 Health
Sledgehammer or Assault Rifle

Super Mutant Soldier
300 Health
Sledgehammer, Assault Rifle, Minigun, or Missile Launcher

Super Mutant Trooper
400 Health
Chinese Assault Rifle, Super Sledge, Minigun, or Missile Launcher

Super Mutant Behemoth
4000 Health
Loot consists of a large amount of drugs. Storywise, you could say they are used to control and strengthen the Behemoth.

Centaur
300 Health
1.2 scale, 300% speed
Radiation Spit now does 25 rads/s for 10 seconds; depending on rad resists

-----------------------------------
For comparison, here are the vanilla super mutant stats along with a short explanation of what I changed.

Super Mutant(Grunt)
100 Health
Nailbord or Hunting Rifle
- This is too close to what a lot of human enemies have as their health. I brought grunts closer to the other mutants in health, but still kept them a little lower. Explanation is they are newly FEV infected and possibly not as fully developed. Also, like many players have complained, the Hunting Rifle looks silly in a super mutants hands, and the nailboard is just not very cool. Both were replaced.

Super Mutant Brute(Soldier)
250 Health
Sledgehammer, Assault Rifle, Minigun, or Missile Launcher
- I think the AR actually looks ok in a super mutants hands so I left it. Sledgehammer looks fine as well. I upped health a bit to standardize the increase among the three tiers of mutants.

Super Mutant Master(Trooper)
360 Health
Chinese Assault Rifle, Super Sledge, Minigun, or Missile Launcher
- The Chinese AR looks fine in the mutants' hands. Along with their different helmets it makes the mutants look like professional soldiers, hence the name change to Trooper. I didn't like the vanilla name "Master" anyway, just because there should only be one Master. These guys are more like the officers of the Super Mutant army. I also slightly increased their health to keep it in line with the increase of the other two tiers.

Behemoth
2000 Health
Loot is everything under the sun, armor, weapons, ammo, drugs, bottle caps.
- It didn't make sense to me that he was a walking treasure chest, so I changed it drugs that are still very valuable but can be explained somewhat.
I doubled the health of the Behemoth. One mini-nuke can take out a vanilla Behemoth. A little anti-climatic.

Centaur
100 Health
Rad Spit did only 5 rads/s for 10 secs
This enemy is pretty much useless in vanilla. Molerats are more threatening. Now they are larger and look more threatening. They can move faster on those six legs, and their spit, with a still very low ROF like vanilla, does respectable rad effect.

Test Notes

I tested this with medium dmg/acc from XFO and 1-5 min/max on MMMF3, which means in some instances there are a lot of spawns. I used a level 16 character(to get the highest super mutants to spawn) with 100 small guns. With a fully repaired 10mm pistol doing 24 dmg(XFO), it still takes about 7-12 shots to the head to kill a super mutant, depending on whether they are a grunt, soldier or trooper. With Gunslinger perk(XFO) giving extra pistol action points, I can still take out at least 2 super mutants at a time, which I think is respectable.
