Description
===========
My premise for this mod is that as Vault 101's population gradually declined over the years, as we learn in one of the quests, the Overseer has gradually sealed off various wings of the vault which are redundant or no longer needed for the citizen's needs, much like a castle or a mansion might have wings or rooms sealed off to save on upkeep.

Aside from that, it's just my personal dream house, outfitted with everything I find useful. Clean, well-lit, comfortably furnished, and specifically planned to accommodate followers. I've made a nice path grid, and installed plenty of idle markers for NPCs to interact with while they're in sandbox mode, from cooking, to cleaning, to repairing, to exercising, to showering and everything else I could find. The place has a complete navigation mesh, and enough beds to accomodate 6 comfortably. The water is non-radioactive, being purified by the same system as the rest of Vault 101. Also, it took a lot of fiddling, but the bath water looks like actual water.

Key features:
  • Convenient layout, no interminable labyrinths of corridors. Everything is accessible from the central common room.
  • Combination armoury and lab, with lockers, gun cabinets, ammo boxes, and junk crates
  • My first laboratory set
  • My first infirmary set
  • A couple of computers with that little text adventure game on them
  • 2 pristine Nuka Cola machines (do not use these for ice-cold making right now)
  • A bar
  • Big dining room with jukebox that plays GNR, and billiards
  • A kitchen with stoves, cabinets, and a fridge
  • Some garbage bins that are set to respawn, to dispose of unwanted junk
  • Workbench with convenient storage cabinet and toolbox nearby
  • Various shelves and tables to display items on
  • Bedroom
  • Restroom, changing room, bath and showers.
  • 4 new vault dwellers, set to sandbox mode, to add some life to the place.
  • Natasha offers medical services, and Erin offers repair services and some food.

Recommendations:
===============
These other mods are optional, but recommended, as they can add to your experience with this mod:
  • JasonMercenary's "Followers Relax" - This mod will allow your vanilla followers like Charon, Clover, Star Paladin Cross, etc., go into Sandbox mode in the vault, so they'll go around and use all the idle markers I put in for the NPCs to use.
  • ZableBlaze's Sharing & Caring Companions - This mod will allow you to exchange items and clothing with the NPCs in my vault, as well as (hopefully) bringing new characters from the outside world into here to take up residence. That mod requires Fallout Script Extender (FOSE) to be running to override NPCs' AI.
  • Skykappa's Nuka Cola Vending Machine 3000 and perhaps also Nuka Cola Bottles 3000 for prettier vending machines and bottles.

Location
========
The door is down the hill from Vault 101's main entrance, near the wrecked car by the scenic overlook. It will appear on your map. Lucky for you, the door is keyed to only open for Vault 101 dwellers, and thus needs no key.

Let me know if I missed something, and as always, I'm interested to see screenshots taken by anyone who enjoyed this mod.

Known Issues
============
  • The showers are always on.
  • Some users report issues with companions not entering along with them from the front door. Waiting for 1 hour should work around this bug.
  • The navmesh is still a little funky in some places
  • A couple of mods are known to conflict with this mod: An older version of Trynfkwtme's Exotic Dancer mod and an armour vendor mod, but he is aware of the issue and has been working to fix it. The issue affects this mod only in a roundabout way, as it will make it impossible to trade with the resident NPCs using the Sharing & Caring mod. I believe this has been fixed in the most recent versions of those mods.
  • Sunday Sorrow's "Vault 89" mod places a cliff called CliffCanyonL03rad1283 directly in front of the cleft where my door is located. Aside from moving the door elsewhere (which should not be necessary, since the rock serves no apparent purpose in the Vault 89 mod), there is nothing I can do about this, as it's not the fault of my mod. If you intend to use both mods together, the cliff face should be removed from the Vault 89 mod through the GECK, or disabled via the console in game.

History
=======
1.0, 2008-12-30 - Initial release.
1.1, 2008-12-30 - Expanded room marker to completely enclose the exit, which caused an invisible door.
1.2, 2008-12-31 - Many navmesh edits, added 4 sandboxing NPCs and the Infirmary unit
1.3, 2009-01-01 - Happy New Year! And some bug fixes and changed the 4 resident NPCs not to respawn, and made them essential so they can't die.
1.4, 2009-01-05 - The Nuka Cola machines will now properly create ice-cold Nuka Cola. I can't guarantee that other mods that add other functions to the Nuka Cola machines will work properly, though. Natasha now offers medical services, and Erin offers food and repair services. (Erin is not voiced). Added a couple more lights and extended the navmesh a little. !!WARNING: If you are upgrading from version 1.3 or earlier, remove anything you've stored in the Nuka Cola machines and save before you enable this new version, because making the machines function properly required me to create new forms for the machines!!
1.5, 2009-01-08 - Increased the repair skill of Erin, and added a couple of hallways to interface with other mods.
