ok, I decided to try and work on this again, I decided as my biggest problem was that the BOS dlc broke this mod I would just move the part of the dlc that "interfered" with it, mainly the Car Tunnel. Now I need some people who have the BOS dlc to test and see if the part of the dlc where you go to the Car Tunnel still works or not as I moved it to the side of my town and as I don't have any saves from that point I can't test to see if the dlc still works (fight with Enclave and the big robot etc) so if you could load up a save that is just before the Car Tunnel and see what works and does not thanks..

I know there are some Rocks and things floating or with holes I will fix them with time. Also without the mod that lets you pass beyond the invs barriers you can't get to the main "city Hall" building in the town. and yes I know in front of it is alot of rocks....but I don't know how to remove them as they are not in the Geck...I mean they only appear when in the game. If you have ideas how to remove them I'll take any.

OK, I decided to give it another try. This time putting the city into its own world space. Everything was going fine till I copied the buildings from the old version into the new loc. Now the Geck crashes before all the files are loaded and if you try to load it into the game it crashes before you can load a game the some of the title images and music do display before it crashes.

If anyone can figure out whats wrong with it now so I can cont working on it that would be great. If you do get it to load somehow into the game, I put a test door/tport in front of vault 101. The test file is in the optional file section.

hm, This is great..what are the odds..the new dlc...Puts something right smack dab on top of my town....The broken Steel dlc put the Car tunnel right at the exact loc of the NWR!...Now I guess I will have to move it.

Well here is a very early version of what I want to be something like vault city from Fallout 2. The idea behind it is that. There was a vault where only Engineers and perhaps architects where in the vault. no scientists or doctors etc. when they leave the vault they using there skills bulldoze the area. and start building the New Washington Republic. Including a radio station broadcasting a msg asking for Doctors and scientists etc to come and join this new town. now they used there skills and striped there vault of all metals etc which is why the entrance collipesd. (that's why there's a fences around the entrance).

this is my first time using the Geck. It still loads fine into the Geck. also anyone know how to get more fps in the Geck...its very jerky when I try to move walls and such when I use the view mode....

thank you for any help, any ideas on improving the city would be great.

I also have some problem getting some turrets working right. I wanted to put some onto a wall for example but they just explode.....

Reqs that you use the http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1522 mod if you want to walk around the whole city.

Newest update now has 2 building can enter(there at the moment copies of the clinic) I have also added a npc but even tho all 3 buildings have Navmesh in them with no errors the npc will not show up when tested in game..I have know idea why. I even placed the npc into the wilderness out side but he still won't appear when test in the game....??


Also companions seem to run away from the main area of town??? I'll look at them after I enter the town and wam they charge off away from me..., and when I enter the buildings sometimes they are inside sometimes not....when they are inside the navmesh seems to work.

Well, I've finely figured out how to get npc to work...sorta.
I created a doctor which you will find in the clinic, he currently does all the normal things a doc will do, tho for some resone I don't know yet he does not do any of the custom things I added like custom text (he is supposed to tell you a little about the city and whats been going on)and I gave him a unique name but he is still using the original name of the doc I coped him from.
He also does not appear to move about even tho as best I can figure out the sandbox thing is setup right, I do notice tho that even tho you don't see him walk at the correct time he will disappear and you will find him in bed in the other room..

I've also added 2 guards, only one appears in game tho...(hmm thought I had that figured out) tho they also don't move even tho I have them set for a patrol, they will talk and greet you and if you shoot them they fight back. I placed a locker in front of them to test the guards awareness if you try to steal, but I don't see any reaction at this time. You can also now enter the main building but what you see is just a quick copy and paste from another building just so i can test a few things right now.

ah....Still lota problems, now with a Diner at top of hill(yes you will have to walk threw the rocks....no idea why but the rocks are not in the Geck....So How can I delete them?) The Doc in the Clinic should now greet you with Custom Greeting, "hello, I am Doc C "etc with new audio recorded for him... (and be careful sometimes the gards no atk for no resone........:>

the city kepts crashing and when I use the landscape tool it refuses to lower the ground to make it flat....so here is what I have done I've made a new loc currently just as a test in case I decide to completely move the city location. I can't get the map marker to work...yet(makes me thing back to the first days at the current loc.......frak) so for now I would like for people to test this new loc out and let me know what you think. For now Go to the Nuka Cola Plant and take the Car (open the door) which will bring you to the location.
