An unofficial update to Registrator2000's Essential Player NV using Celticgirl's port.

I was talking to celticgirl over his/her mod page of the same name about adding some sort of balancing to the mod and i came up with a sort of lore-friendly update to the mod.

what this mod does it overwrite the original port and enhance it by adding an item requirent for the defibrilator to work. This item is called Defibrilator Power Cell and uses the Fission Battery model, and its worth 3000 base cap. Doctors all over the wasteland sell these in 3 but to those cheap and willing to go on an adventure, ive placed 50 of em all over the capital wasteland and 5 free inside the vault 101 cave entrance.

beside that minor feature, ive also added 2 more tweak to the mod.

1) Difficulty: there are 3 difficulty, which is Beginner, Moderate and Proud.
Begginer: The Defibrilator doesnt need Battery
Moderate: default. The defibrilator needs battery to work.
Proud: same as Moderate, but also reduce the cap you currently have by 50%

2) Ressurection Invincibility: If you have some more battery on hand and willing to finish the fight, well dont worry, because when you get revived, you have a 30 pseudo-invincibility to use to either fight it out or flee unscathed.

The battery now has a pip-boy image.

When playing on Moderate-Proud Difficulty and you dont have battery left, you will instead reload from your previous save so you dont have to stare to your dead body, shaming yourself that you sucked and died. :D

added a note on how to use the mod. it is automatically given to you upon installation.

if your going to update from v1redone to v2, please do the following.

1) disable v1redone and open your save
2) on the same spot, save immediately then exit
3) overwrite the v1redone with v2
4) boot up your save so the initialization repeats.

please note that doing this will take any batteries you have aquired.

and now the anticipated update, after a long week of no internet. i present to you guys. Final Mix+

features included in the Final Mix+ are

Critical Mode: the hardest difficulty ive ever developed. the old Proud mode now only penalize you 20% of your caps. But Critical mode not only penalize you 50% of you caps, it also doesnt protect you after you revive.

Battery Charge Mode: you can now allow the defibrilator to only use portion of a single battery's stored energy. when this mode has been activated, instead of losing an entire battery for a revive, you only lose 25% of a single cell. and until the first cell as been depleted, you will not consume anymore. But limiting the device is such a way makes it fail. at Moerate mode, your successful chance of being revive is 95%. at Proud, that becomes 75%. and at Critical, it becomes 45%. as for the caps, if the revive fails, you do not lose any.

upon first initialization, you will now receive an instruction manual for the defibrilator and 3 free batteries as a free trial pack.

future updates that im working on

1) sound cue that you have been revived successfully or if it failed.

2) special effect for the invincibility so you know if you still have it active.

3) a bugfix for the manual mode. i found a bug when using manual mode, in that when you press the button for the defibrilator, sometimes it doesnt trigger correctly, and thus you will have to press again. when you do that, you will lose 2 batteries(2 charges on charge mode) and you will lose caps two times.

4) an integration for the prototype medic armor. i dont know what to do to it yet but im open to suggestion guys.
