A port of the FNV mod that replaces the Alien Blaster with a new one, based on the version found in Fallout 1. (Non-replacer version also available.)

CLASSIC ALIEN BLASTER (FO3 port)

This mod replaces the model of the Alien Blaster with a brand new one, based on the original Alien Blaster from Fallout 1. It also adds a replenishable source of power alien cells (i.e. the ammo) by changing the crashed alien ship into a respawning container (which should still be accessible even if you completed Mothership Zeta). There's also a non-replacer version, which adds the Blaster as a separate weapon.

To be specific, the design of the Alien Blaster is based on the one created by the Molten Clouds team. It was recreated from scratch following the reports of the original model being either lost, or the person who has it being impossible to get in contact with.

KNOWN ISSUES
==================================

If you look at your character in 3rd person while holding down the aiming button, you'll notice that one of the hands is clipping through the handle. This is an animation issue that was apparently fixed by Obsidian in Fallout: New Vegas. If you want this issue fixed, you'd need to have Fallout: New Vegas installed and take the time to extract the related files (link to FO3 Archive, works on FNV too) and put them in FO3's folders.

KNOWN INCOMPATIBILITIES

- Any mod that modifies the Alien Blaster (if you use the replacer version).
- Any mod that uses AddOnNodes with index numbers 19901 and 19902. (Highly unlikely to happen, but...)
- It may also not work well with mods that change the reloading animations, due to the ammo container having shorter length.
