About this mod

Gunsmith Joe was one of the Lt's of Ashurs Army from the Pitt, follow his short story of why he left and use his gear to help you on your way through the capitol wasteland.

Permissions and credits

Wastelander's Gear consist of parts used from the Pitt and aims to make the start of the Fallout 3 experience more wasteland adapted with these tools. It also points you to the right direction of my 2 most favorite add-ons to Fallout 3. This mod is not OP when running FWE on FWE standard settings, the damage ratio with the weapons and shielding of the armor is good enough and strategic to base your character for multiple purposes, evil or good. This is my first official mod, hope you like it, please leave a comment.

:::BACKGROUND STORY:::
Gunsmith Joe is a defect from Ashur's Raider Army and has escaped from the Pitt for a specific reason. However, his curse he brought with him left him at Grayditch for the remainder of his life. His gear and story is left for the player to experience.
//Future plans is to expand this story with some clues leading to the revenge of Gunsmith Joe, but for now you can enjoy his unique gear.

//Also the Alien tech I recovered from the crash site  close to the Greener Pastures Disposal Site during a slave run a couple of years ago proved to be useful to boost the Stealth Boy parts in the collar. It seams to slow down projectiles before reaching the host. Doesn't really make you bulletproof. The other weird bonus is that it heals you a bit faster. Strange shit...

* Portable Black Hole
//Note to self; I have no idea how to explain this thing... The thing emitts a small black hole and when you store things in it, it just simply vanish. When you put your hand into it and think about which item you are searching for you just find it in there. Found this gizmo laying around that crashed UFO. However when I had it in my possession I felt like the whole world moved slower for me and I began to feel allot heavier. I left the damn thing where I found it...

ROBOT:
* Fixed up Eyebot: Wastelander's Eyebot

   - BASIC ROBCO MILITARY SUBRUTINES FOR GUARD MODE

:::BUG LIST:::
* Backpack reveals some transparency due to the model, playing as female shows this but not as male.
* Booster shot is suppose to paralyze the player for a short while, doesn't work.
* The bottlecap mine at the doorway is supposed to be armed, will fix this on the next version.
* Joe's Terminal has a "null" feed in the list of titles.
* The Wastelander's Eyebot may stop responding to dialogues, prompting the console (§) and clicking the eyebot so it says "Wastelander's Eyebot" as being marked and then using: Disable and Enable , may fix this.
* I've seen that some of my dialogue options has appeared in other follower discussions. I have no Idea why. The basic commands work for that character as well though...

:::PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS:::
* If you choose to play as a ghoul character (in FWE), you can wear the "Wastelander's Shield" without severe penalties to your health, due to the ghoulification your rad-meter stops after the first radiation damage level. So disarm when not needed to flush your system out and than re-use when needed with minimal drawbacks. Also use the cannibal perk for that extra survival treat ;)
* If the new version 2.0 conflicts to much with followers or dialogue option, please contact me or go back to playing version 1.0 if you can't wait for an update.
