About this mod

A new radio station has just been picked up by your pip-boy but is playing rather strange music. That, and the DJ seems to be telling tall tales about where this music is coming from.

Quantum Bit Radio

"Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls of all ages, and welcome to Quantum Bit Radio, your source of lore-unfriendly inter-dimensional songs, from the Core region to the Capital, to the Commonwealth. This is your unseen DJ Saint Brightside, and allow me to brighten your day!"

There seems to be a rather odd radio station being picked up by certain radios and pip-boys throughout the Core region, Capital Wasteland, and the Commonwealth (as well as the surrounding areas of each). What's even more stranger is the content being transmitted.

Music.

That alone is not strange, of course, but it's the kind of music being played. All sorts of music, only few of which resemble that of what is being played on GNR, Radio New Vegas, or any station on air. What's more is that no existing pre-war records indicate that such tunes were ever made. That said, not a whole lot of historical records survived the war but it does raise questions.

And of course, there is the guy running this station. He calls himself 'Saint Brightside', and he refers to the station as 'Quantum Bit Radio', whatever that means. Sounds like a Three Dog wannabe though and that's not even the best part. 'Saint Brightside' claims that the songs he plays come from alternate universes. He's probably high on Jet or something but it might explain as to why these songs don't exist on record.

No one can seem to pinpoint where this transmission is originating from. However, some were able to estimate that the transmission is coming from
the Commonwealth region.

Hello everyone. This is my very first mod. It's a simple mod, with just a radio station with pre-made music and a backstory about the station
itself (which is provided above).

Please let me know if you are having trouble installing the mod. As I said this is my first mod and I'm unsure if I properly uploaded it.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE: QBR 1.5 has been reuploaded due to a corruption error, however if there are still any problems, please let me know.

Current Version: QBR 1.5

Features:

Other than adding another radio station?

Quantum Bit Radio provides almost three hours of music with 39 tracks, consisting of varying genres.

And you also get a DJ who plays them and gives the station some personality. QBR 1.5 adds several more minutes of DJ dialogue.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I might go back and create an actual quest related to the radio station but all I wanted to make was a radio station and make one, I did. So who knows.

Known Issues: The radio seems to go quiet when hitting the pause button but can be heard again
when turning off the radio and then back on.

Feedback is appreciated!

Thank you, and enjoy Quantum Bit Radio, providing you all the best hits from our vast multiverse.

Further disclaimers:

This radio station mod was created using the G.E.C.K editor by Bethesda Softworks and the Audacity audio-editor by The Audacity Team.

All music featured in this mod were converted from their original format into Mono WAV files due to incompatibilities between MP3 and
G.E.C.K. In addition, all music has been modified to have that 'radio' quality sound to them.

Special Thanks to Kevin MacLeod for creating all of this music for people to use.

Special Thanks to the guys at Bethesda who created Fallout 3 for gamers to play and the G.E.C.K for modders to use.
