This mod requires FOSE! This mod works with old saves.

So basically all this does is add a quest that runs a script at preset intervals to save your game and it cycles through 10 saves. I was getting really frustrated at the game because it crashes quite a lot (using looooots of mods) from time to time. I hated losing some of my progress and it was getting annoying opening the console to create named saves I was cycling through every couple of minutes to cut down on the number of saved games I had. The quicksave feature is a wash because what happens if you make a bad save? Oops there goes a couple of hours of progress or so.  So with this mod (if you can really call it that) you never have to manually save again! Of course you probably want to make manual checkpoint saves in case you make a bad choice somewhere down the line or you have multiple characters you're running. Also since you won't be manually saving as often, this can really help with immersion!

One more thing to note: Using this mod will probably cause the game to freeze momentarily when it saves your game, it's just how long the game takes to save, so I've made versions that don't save during combat if that might bother you. Other than that there should be no ongoing performance loss. Should be compatible with anything that I know of. Probably doesn't matter where in the load order you put it, I'd just put it at the bottom.

This is my first mod and I really just made it for myself, but since I made it I might as well share it and I hope this helps someone else as it has definitely helped me. I will also be making this same mod for other Bethesda games when I get around to playing them (Oblivion, Fallout: New Vegas, and Skyrim), but if you want a version for those games just contact me and I'll make it sooner rather than later. This is assuming that saving via scripting can be done because Fallout 3 originally didn't let you use the save function, FOSE allowed me to do it.
