About this mod

Greatly increases the height of background buildings to enhance the "urban" feel of downtown DC.

THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE SUPPORTERS OF TALLER DC FOR GETTING #1 FILE OF THE MONTH APRIL 2015

WHAT THIS DOES

This mod simply stacks buildings on top of each other to create the illusion of skyscrapers. It's kind of a crappy fix, but it looks cool, so oh well. The alternative was remodeling each static item, which would result in towers of uniform height. By hand building each foreground skyscraper I was able to give a unique feel to many of the towers. Skyscrapers reflect the area of the city they reside in. Towers in Super Mutant infested areas often have spikes jutting out of them. Towers in other areas have similar detail added to make them stand out.

My goal with this mod is to make the player really feel like they're trapped in a city of the apocalypse; a winding maze of concrete with enemies around every corner.

Yes. I know Washington DC doesn't have skyscrapers in real life. Yes, I know about height codes. Fallout 3 takes place in an alternate timeline that continues advancing technologically for over 50 years into the future, so please do not post about whether or not this is lore friendly or realistic. This is a game with laser guns and fire-breathing giant ants. Is this mod really your tipping point for realism? Because of hundred year old building codes?

CHANGELOG 4.0
-Skyscrapers in the Wasteland section of DC have been greatly increased in variety and height. This includes suburbs that are close to DC, such as Grayditch, but not distant suburbs, such as Bethesda Ruins and Old Olney.

POSSIBLE BUGS
-Skyscraper LOD not working.
1. Make sure you've got archive invalidation going. This is pretty much a prerequisite for any mod that edits textures, so I would hope you've already got that fixed.
2. This mod generates the LOD for you, based on your load order.

-LOD Textures Flickering
