Description:Adds a field guide to your Pipboy-3000 to track random encounters in the Capital Wasteland.Quest does not start until at least one random event trigger (encounter zone) has been located somewhere on the map.
1. Mod will show locations of areas where an encounter occurred.
2. When you roam wasteland if a random even trigger is spawned, the guide will notify you a random encounter is nearby and add a new quest objective.
3. Once a new objective is added, you will see map marker on map where event trigger is located.
4. When encounter area is visited, map marker will be removed from pipboy.

Guide will locate sites only when FO3 has trigger a random event site. Random event site trigger is persistent and will be 'on' forever once it is triggered for unique random events.

Guide only tracks unique events only, repeat able random events are not tracked.

This mod is very useful if you are not sure which random encounters have been triggered and which ones have not. If you only see for example 3 random events in the field guide list, only 3 random events have been triggered. If event is not faded out, encounter area has not been visited since install of field guide.

Note: Random Encounter Field Guide will work with current saved games but encounter areas that have been triggered already will have to be visited for marker to disappear on map.

Note: Mod is based on previous work of user Vivanto, see credits section for more information. There mod worked but did not remove map markers once area was visited, my mod solves this problem.

Directions:
Drop the .esp into your Fallout 3 data folder and place a check mark next to it in FOMM/NMM.

Bugs & Compatibility Issues:
  • Map markers may not be visit able properly in few areas. Problem is flaw in engine itself, it will set new coordinates of a map marker but will not update mesh marker.nif coordinates. I find no solution. Problem can be work around by visiting interior cell or leave area and come back later. Game will update mesh coordinates and marker will be visit able and disable as intended.
Please report any problems encountered.
