Modout greatly enhances the Vanilla version of Fallout 3, transforming it into a Post-Nuclear Survival Simulator. This expansion does not go outside of vanilla programming, but does allow the player to feel immersed in a much more free, and threatening world.
Modout includes some features that not only aim to make the game much more realistic, but also much more challenging. Some features include those of:
Tougher Enemies: That force the player to use both skill, tactics and wits, to survive in the Capital Wasteland. Enhanced attacks, greater combat feats, and more crucial, more health.
Weapon Enhancements: Are what make the expansion of Modout a true survival simulation. Factors such as weapon ROF, projectile speed, damage, accuracy, weight, functionality, and of course, the much delayed reload times (because you cannot possibly reload a ten-pound assault rifle in two seconds).
Aid Items and Health: Both perks, and consequences are factors in the most important part to one\'s survival after a nuclear war. Prepare to suffer the consequences of drinking contaminated water, or to receive the speedy benefits of Ultra-Jet. OH, and, you might have to heal more often, so don\'t charge straight into a firefight unless you know what you are doing (or not).
Apparel and Armor: How else would you protect your body from hot streams of molten plasma, or the shredding rounds from a minigun? Your clothing actually does something to protect you now (and with some benefits, such as increased carry weight)! Your damage threshold has now been increased to a maximum of 500 (from a lousy 85).
Explosives (KA-BOOM!): This just stresses the importance that stepping on a landmine can most often result in the loss of lower extremities. All explosives now do MUCH greater damage, and can actually knock you flat on your ass! So watch your step!
Unique is always better: Ever wondered where all of those deleted weapons went? Well wonder no longer! Now all of those fine beauties now have a rightful home in the wasteland. All you have to do is find them!
INCOMPATABILITIES:
Modout is incompatible with any other mods which may alter the attributes of any weapons, armor, aid/health items, creatures, or explosives. Retextures ARE compatible with this mod, and any other unstated incompatibilities will be checked into after notifying me. This mod is also compatible with any mods that add NEW weapons, so long as they do not edit any vanilla weapons.
