Ok, well not really but through some script magic you can't really tell the difference. To lay prone just hold the sneak key (left CTRL by default) Once prone your hitbox and move speed are reduced, but you gain a sneak bonus and steadier aim. You can hold your breath to steady your aim further by holding the POV change key (F by default). While prone you cannot access third person, or your pipboy.
Have fun!

Notes:
Endorse if you like it! Feedback is always appreciated! Unless you hate it, then you have to brood all alone!
If your having trouble getting out of prone mode, it may be a conflict with my script, to resolve it, before going prone, open the console with the tilde ~ key and type "player.setscale 1" without the "
I will not be adding in prone animations, I don't have the skill to make the animations and there is no resource available. I know there is a prone pose, but that has not movement animation, so there will be no third person mode.
I haven't tested it yet, but it's just a port of my New Vegas mod, the scripts compiled just fine, everything should work as expected, but please let me know if they don't.

Requirements:
FOSE- http://fose.silverlock.org/
Installation:
Use FOMM, or manually place the ProneMode.esp in your data folder.

Uninstalling:
Use FOMM, or delete the ProneMode.esp in your data folder.
I would recommend not being prone in the save when you uninstall, I havent tested it, but it probably wouldnt be fun.
