Version 1.3
============
Voice Files & Sound Files are Optional for this Version.
For those of you who are updating from another version you will have to remove the old ".esm" file from the Fallout 3 Data Files
and replace with the new one. If you already have the Voice Files or Sound Files Installed you do not have to replace those.
Some people have been having an issue with the Courier not showing up. In this version, the Courier is located at Rivet City. He is
on top of the platform before you cross the Draw Bridge. Talk to him and he will give you a note. Once you have the note, the Quest will start.
This has also been done for the Follower Friendly Version.
Version 1.2: Follower Friendly Version
==============================================
Voice Files & Sound Files are Optional for this Version.
For those of you who are updating from version 1.0 or 1.1 you will have to remove the old ".esm" file from the Fallout 3 Data Files
and replace with the new one. If you already have the Voice Files or Sound Files Installed you do not have to replace those.
Followers will be moved into the Arena with the Player. Your Followers kills will be recorded as Explosive kills, as I have
no way to Reference Modded Followers, and you will earn 20 caps for each of there kills. I Strongly suggest that you take a
Follower that is marked Essential as they will more than likely die.
Your Equipment will be removed when you enter the Arena but your followers Equipment will not be removed. Which means yes you can smuggle in equipment with your follower, but if you use any outside weapons, armor, and ammo that will mess up the Cap/Point scoring system. The equipment provided for you has there own unique forms to keep track of scoring in scripts. Also there is a script in place that will immediately remove almost any Vanilla weapons and ammo from your inventory to keep the player from using the enemies weapons, so if you don't want to lose them don't smuggle them in and try to use them. And there are some features that help you through out the waves that will not work with outside weapons. So basically it would be more fun, safe, and challenging to use what is provided for you.
Version 1.1 Update
===================
For those of you who are updating from version 1.0 you will have to remove the old ".esm" file from the Fallout 3 Data Files
and replace with the new one. You will not have to replace the Voice Files Folder or Sound Files Folder as there were no changes
made to those files.
* Fixed a bug that was brought to my attention by jaewook419. Apparently the console you activate to enter the Arena was popping
up the "must part ways with follower" message even though there is no follower with the player. You will now have no warning message
to part ways with a Vanilla Follower, you will have to remember to do that on your own. You can also just leave them waiting now if
you don't want to part ways with them.
* Fixed a Navmesh issue for the safe house exterior that was causing followers to not load out with the player correctly.
Description
===========
You receive an invitation to participate in an Arena Battle hosted by the Yeomen, a new faction in the Capital Wasteland,
who are seeking a champion.
As you fight through waves of familiar foes, you will earn points and be rewarded caps for the points earned.
How you kill your enemies will determine how many points you earn. The more impressive the kill, the more you will earn.
For example: Gun Kills = 10pt's; Unarmed Kills = 50pt's. There are also many other ways to earn points. There is a
Stats Terminal where you can keep track of what you have earned and how you earned it. If you're competitive in nature,
you could even take a screen shot of your final total score and send it to your friends and try to better each others
scores. There is a save point made when you enter the Arena so you can play through it again and try to better your score;
just don't save over it.
When you complete the whole Quest, you will be rewarded for your efforts and be given a new Safehouse with perks. Some
perks are not so noticeable, so you will just have to look around and find them. There is more to this mod than everything I have
just explained, but to give you any more information would just be a Spoiler.
So, if you like scoring points, earning lots of caps, or just straight up, intense excitement and bloody destruction, this is the mod for you.
It is recommended, for V1.0, V1.1 and V1.3 that you leave any Followers, both Vanilla & Modded, waiting before you start the Quest, or enter the Arena. Followers are not moved into the Arena with the Player.
If a Follower some how finds a way to wander into the Arena with you, it will ruin the experience. These Versions are designed to be a solo fight.
Your Equipment will be removed upon entering the Arena and will be given back when the Quest is complete. Part of the challenge is to use the
equipment provided for you.
Start Quest
============
For Versions 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 load into any Vanilla exterior, and a Courier will bring you a note. Once you have the note, the Quest will
start. The Courier usually shows up whithin 3 to 10 seconds depending on whether you are in combat or not. I always load into Megaton,
and he shows up quickly.
For Version 1.3 Travel to Rivet City, and a Courier will be on top of the platform before you cross the Draw Bridge. Talk to him, and he will
give you a note. Once you have the note, the Quest will start.
