Seward Square Broadway Cinema Revisited
by Greslin, based on original mod (with permission) by RunningBare

The basic concept - a movie theater in Seward Square, complete with actual working movies to watch - was too good to resist. But then you know how it goes: a few bug fixes, then you decide to figure out why the slave girls aren't dancing, and then it's an evening of splicing music on Audacity, and pretty soon you have a project on your hands. :)

Thanks to RunningBare for a great idea and most of a good implementation. All I really did was dig around in GECK to see how far he took it, and then connect up the wires and plug everything in. I also added some pretties and cleaned up a few odds and ends.

Changes from original version
=============================

NOTE: The "flopping body" issue should be resolved now. Download the Hotfix ESP.

I made a lot of changes to the original Cinema, from making things work to making things make sense. They were all to suit my own taste and gameplay. I was kind of shooting for the Broadway musical scene from Escape From New York.

Changes include:

* Dancing slave girls work, and they dance to a customized track of 1930's big band music.
* Raiders no longer shoot on sight, but will get nasty fast if you piss them off.
* Movie and old vaudeville posters added throughout the main theater.
* Office door is locked, and there's a new locked door on the ground floor.
* Sewer has been removed and the main projector lamp task rearranged slightly to compensate.
* The lobby has been significantly reworked to include a snack bar and some better forward
defenses. It's a war zone outside, after all.
* Notes (terminals, tapes, etc.) have been rewritten somewhat to fit the above changes.

I also cleaned up a number of extraneous records, etc. in the original mod that affected gameplay in Underworld and elsewhere. This version changes nothing in vanilla FO3 except the theater door in Seward Square. Everything else should be self-contained within the cinema cell, including NPCs and faction behavior.

At this time I do not plan to make more movies. If you want more films for the play roster, see
the Nexus page for the original Cinema mod.

Playability Notes
=================

If you kill the merchant, you will lose karma. She's the only nonevil NPC in the Cinema, and she tries to mind her own business. Try not to shoot her. She's nice.

Some have reported the stage-taunting raiders going hostile if doors are unlocked, the projecter is fixed, you look at the raiders wrong, etc.. none of these are true. There are several ways to turn those guys mean, and most revolve around screwing up the stage show. Read the terminal upstairs for clues.

Occasionally Supermutants will follow you from outside into the theater. That's part of why I added better forward defenses - it's vanilla FO3 behavior. I don't plan to add any code attempting to prevent this, as all things considered, it's a totally reasonable thing to happen. The Cinema raiders will quickly rush to defend the place.

Requirements
============

My first release required The Pitt DLC and Umpa Animation ( http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=634 ). This one eliminates the Pitt dependency (by trading in the Pitt slave rags for vanilla FO3 underwear), and makes Umpa unnecessary by including the needed animation files with this package. You should no longer need to install either one - it's all in this package.

You will need the "CinemaUpdate" and "MoreMoviesandUpdateEsp" packages from RunningBare's original Seward Square Cinema mod ( http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4688 ). The video files are big, so I'm not reuploading them here. Get them there.

Installing
==========

1. Install Cinema_Update-4688.7z and MoreMoviesAndUpdateEsp-4688.7z from the original package.

2. Install the "Revisited" package, overwriting any file conflicts.

Upgrading From First Release
============================

Just unpack and overwrite. This package includes all needed animation files.

Thanks to Runningbare for a good start to a great Fallout mod, and for granting permission for me to release this revised version. The hard work was his, so if you want to use any part of this mod for your own, get his permission first.

Animations are from Umpa Animation, used with permission.
