========The Dukov Project=======

Version 3

An overhaul of the obnoxious womanizer's house. Truth is Dukov wouldn't be so bad if he didn't talk to you all the time. Maybe I'll change that in the future but for now you're still better off just shooting the guy.

In version 3 you get:

Dukov's pad totally redone (except where I left it the same)

The FC2 Armory

A Burning Building

A plane wreck

Lottsa flaming cars (and a BBQ, too)

A head-on collision

A Monumental Achievment

Roadkill

A Black Dragon

An Ivory Trophy

2 many FX

An Underground Graveyard

A garden full of ganja (w probably more to come...)

What you won't find:

Say bye-bye to the weapons and mr handy, too.

What this mod edits:

Dukov, Cherry, Fantasia, Dukov's pad, The exterior cells surrounding Dukov's pad.

What this mod Adds:

Two Cells and some style. And hollyhocks; I like to use hollyhocks.

Recommended for the fullest effect:

====OPTIONAL UPDATE=======

Music enabled. Put your mp3's in the folder called "Dukov" and install same as below. Offered as an optional file because testing says music is less stable than the main file. I think it's a conflict between music and enhanced weather but it's just a guess. Anyway this is a different method than my Eulogy mod it uses smaller mp3's and allows for multiple tracks. And my old wav file sytem had a habit of not kicking in. This one in my limited testing has never failed to initialize. Anyway that's all my disclaimers thrown at you I'll use it w music enabled.

Main file has default public, so you'll get some sort of sound either way.

==========INSTALL=============

Drag Folders and esp to the data folder located in your fallout3 directory. Activate the esp.

=========Warnings==============

* Wayward collision boxes.

In the main house, don't try sitting under the large tusk on the safari couch. You can sit under the broken tusk.

In the hideaway, the "green throne" is only for looks. I discovered something about collision boxes here; you can't sit in them. If you do, TCL might help or it might not. Never tried it. I just loaded my auto-save.

It's not a problem just don't do it. And I guess you could try sitting in the cars, too, but that won't work out so hot. They're not made to sit in.

All other chairs, thrones, etc. are fine. I turned the above off for sandbox; no problems for comps.

* movable statics

you can knock hats off, etc. movable statics are what they are. Only real danger here is a "collision bump" when loading a game (that's when you load a game and all the bottles fall over). If that happens there's a couple cool things that can lose their cool. Just ignore it the cells reset. Go run a quest and it should be fine in three days. If you pick stuff up and drop it out of your inventory that's another story. Thatz a decision you make on your own.

I gave you an esp called Dukov_storage. It's a dumpster to store your stuff if you want to reset the mod. (It was actually made for clean saves so I could use the house while building the mod). You can find the Dumpster around the parking lot. You shouldn't need to reset the mod, though.

* Trespassing creatures.

If you spend too much time away from home the baddies will encroach. Expect a greeting every three days upon arrival. This was only a problem when I had the nuke rifle in a box in the backyard. The enclave soldier liked to loot that thing and shoot me with it. =)

Not really a bug but some people might not like it.

No more weapons for the soldiers to steal if you have broken steel they can only incinerate you =)

If you come across a mirelurk leg I suggest tossing it on the barbie.

* Minimum of navmeshing employed

The main place doesn't need it, the hideaway has it but then I stuck tombstones on it, and the FC2 room uh...not so much. It's there just not where it's supposed to be. You got seamless companion transition from cell to cell it's better not to edit the nav if you can help it. I just ripped the megaton armory and redid it.

* Lighting glitches

This is an exterior cell thing mostly. You'll only notice it if you walk around the yard w/ your piplight on. Don't do that.

* Sticky Frames

That's from the static objects mostly. I build the mod to my specs which isn't as good as probably my pics make it look. But it's not bad. Mid-range probably.

========ARCHIVED=============

Dukov's Pad v2

If switching from v1, you should do a clean save. Clear your stuff out of v1 and uninstall, start your game and save. Quit and Install v2.

Dukov 2 brings you more of what you may have liked about Dukov 1. If you didn't like Dukov 1, you probably won't like Dukov 2.

What it does:

Let's you move into Dukov's pad.

How it does that:

This is a make your own fun mod. Dukov lives there w/ two girls. You can be his roomate if you want, and the four of you can live happily ever after, or you can shoot them all and take the place for your own. OR, if you play your cards right, you can get rid of Dukov and you get a party pad and two girls. OR, if you REALLY want to, you can get rid of the girls and get a party pad w/ Dukov if that's your speed. It's not a scripted event; it's what you make of it. The mod doesn't discriminate, but I suggest you try to get the two girls. I like to SHOOT Dukov, personally.

What you get:

All the amenities of a Fallout home. Workbench, science kit, a Mr. Handy, an infirmary, tons of storage, a place to sleep, etc. etc.

In Dukov 2 you can expect to find:

An improved Dukov's Pad much improved. Highlights include:

The Boogeyman.

The Red Threat.

The American Dream.

Behind the Curtain.

A relit Dodge.

Dukov's backyard.

Dukov's custom artwork.

Your own office.

An armory.

An infamous 'Wanda' rifle.

A hula girl lamp.

A close encounter with an urban legend.

Steeltooth.

Pimp jammies.

Lotsa Lotsa Loot.

A man's best friend.

A real "wasteland ghillie suit"

The Bloody Bankrobber Clothes

A wearable slave collar (cuz you know you wanna be a slave)

Two automatic pistols

Attache cases

A two-handed SMG

A Red Ryder BB gun

The Bad Karma BB gun

An Ak-47

Tooth's Muddy Rifle

A custom-tuned, silenced 10mm

The Boogeyman's rifle

A satcom rocket launcher

Ol' Painful

Bad Dog

Betty and Thump Thump.

With All this cool stuff for free, what's the catch?

Catch is that everything's locked tight. Except Dukov's pad; you can walk right in anytime now. Not that you couldn't before. Other catch is that I'm not telling you where the key is. But if you choose to shoot Dukov, you might want to shoot him in the head...

Actually, not all of it's locked. Just the really good stuff. Which there's a lot of...

What this mod modifies: The Wanda rifle (non-implemented G3 model), Fantasia and Cherry (Dukov's girls), and of course,
Dukov's pad.

What this mod doesn't do: Add any new content, so if you see me smoking camel cigarettes or drinking Coca-Cola, That's cuz I do it in real life so I do it in my game. But you get to drink Nuka. And smoke generic cigarettes. But I suggest you don't smoke. Or drink anything called Nuka. Drink Coke; I'm down for pushing that.

What you could possibly find:

A reduced framerate. Not sure. My computer still runs it fine. But the FX are amped up for V2.

Install:

It's just an esp. Check it off in your launcher.

What inspired this mod:

Backseat Dodge by Ed Kienholz. If you're ever in LA, go check it out at the LACMA.

Still looking to do:

Find a scalable flame node mesh and figure out a way to bind the bloody handprint to the bathroom stall door. Maybe flesh out the yard. Not sure. I have plans for Eulogy's pad, next.

*A note on the new weapons: Boogeyman rifle should behave similarly to the Zhu-Long. Ryder does no damage but knocks down on crit. Bad Karma leaves opponents in a daze, racks up bad karma, and is known to have adverse results if you shoot their eye out. Betty is the mysterious stranger's magnum brought back to earth, somewhere in the neighborhood of the scoped 44. Thump Thump pumps on reload. No new models. Just tweaks of old favorites.

Don't ask where the weapons are at. I've tested them all to make sure you can get them, but some of them aren't easy to find. You'll need a new key for some things, and the clue is that Tooth keeps it close to his heart. Bad Karma is especially hard to find.

**And a note on your living situation. That's not contollled by the mod so it'll be whatever you chose for v1. If you've already acquired Dukov's Pad, then you should have immediate access to all the old stuff.

***Turns out I screwed some of the new headgear. The stuff won't go back to normal so I'd have to delete and make new ones. It's not about the headgear anyway. Just sell the stuff and wear Ledoux's mask instead. Ledoux's Hockey Mask - Tooth's Goalie mask, get it?

***Note: Dukov and the girls like to consume the placed bottles of liquor, so I added a respawning box in the backyard w/ various bottles. Also good for restocking the shoot the bottle stacks if you're like me and like to shoot the bottles.

There should also be a respawning ammo box if you feel like blowing off a few rounds. Marked Respawn.

Enjoy.

***If it's of any concern, this is a vanilla location, so it's completely follower friendly. I didn't touch the pathing at all, or alter the layout.
