Quick FAQ.
You are the author of Fake Fullscreen mode Windowed Alt Tab Fix? Yes, and this tool is intended to be the next step, if you want more, use this one.
Is this a loader? No, is a resident program that has a minimum (almost zero) footprint in the system.
But I run the game using X and Y and changing Z it will work for me? 99% Yes!.
*some users can have games/setups unaffected by the mode, ask for help in the comments, I will be recollecting workarounds and making adjustments to the program to reach all users as possible.
You will be adding new features in the future? yes
It can give me Fake Fullscreen mode in almost every existent game? Yes! Just set the game in windowed mode, using the same resolution as the desktop, and use the recommended settings.
Although my game no longer crashes, I still experience microshutering, what can I do? There are several causes of mircoshutering, from drivers to visual mods and tools that hijack direct3d, try to have everything as clean as possible, also try a new driver if possible, reboot the system, etc, try to be methodical searching for the root cause, ask in the comments when you already have some testing information to share, I will make a video about microshutering soon.
Antivirus programs can false detect this as a generic/troyan, Is a false positive, upload the original zip instaler to your antivirus company requesting to be marked as false positive Give also the url to the original place where you download the program They will analyze it and sometimes reply Even if they flag this as false positive in the next update, they will eventually forget and delete the software again without warning, be sure when you are convinced this is a legit software, to add it to the trusted/exclusion list, or set your Antivirus software to ask your permission to delete something. I can not get any of these programs to work on my computer. With everyone I have tried it keeps this blue window border on the top and left side. Is there anything that you know of that will interfere with the programs working correctly?
This gives me a full screen of mostly black on the right and bottom, with the game itself staying the same size. I change the resolution in the ini file, but it always reverts.
Review for your Fake Fullscreen Mode Windowed - Alt Tab Fix mod, since you closed comments for some reason, but didn't deleted it from nexus. Literally useless mod that forces windowed mode and overwrite your launcher and configs, while still open game as window, not like borderless, I can do same without it. Oh, and this "mod", FOSE become unusable with it, game just runs without anything, absolutely great work, everything not works
Is there any way to unlock the mouse from the window, so I don't have to alt-tab whenever moving my mouse to a second monitor? Windowed, fullscreen, or borderless windowed, the mouse is still locked and can't go out of the window without alt-tabbing.
it seems to work but my game crashes to desktop EVERY time i fasttravel anywhere, and please don't suggest NOT using fasttravel because i always use it, i never had this problem before so i know it must be related to game companion, any idea why it's crashing?????????
This thing BSOD'd my my new ROG Zephyrus G15. Like, for a fact it was this process. At first it kicked Fallout 3 out of gameplay and back to desktop. Then when I alt-tab'd back in, the game was glitch'd/frozen w/artifacts all over the screen. then.....a bsod came soon after. Edit: and it kinda sucks that the FAQ is on Facebook.... nobody logs into that honeypot anymore.
It was easy to install, works, and all the functionality appears to be there. Game performance is unimpaired, in some ways it's better, and my ENB lighting effects remain enabled (that was my major worry.) However I can't quite get the frame to line up with my monitor, there's an offset of about 5mm at the top and left sides where i can still see the desktop, and so far I've been unable to remove this, despite trying different resolutions, monitor OSD adjustments and frequency timings. I'm prepared to accept this may well be due to ignorance and ineptitude on my part, but how might I go about resolving it?
So far, this program has been worthless. It does not change the windowed view to fake full screen, none of the hot keys work. I would like to get this to work, but I feel as if I am wasting my time. I have an ASUS sonic master laptop with windows 10. any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
