About this mod

Yes, another (night-) vision mod, but now with OBJECT highlighting - you can easily distinguish what is worth picking up and what containers are worth looking into. See long description for more info.

Permissions and credits
Name: Just Another Vision Mod (JAVM)
Version: 1.0
Date: 2010/11/07
Category: UI
Required: Fallout 3 (Any Version), FOSE (1.2b2 preferred)
Author: _AVE

Description
===========
Just Another Vision Mod. Contains "Night vision" (actually Light Amp), and actors&object highlight (Target Assist).

Details
=======
What is/can be highlighted:

1. Non-empty containers
2. Weapons
3. Ammo
4. Armor
5. Aids (food, chems, drinks)
6. Books (skill & prewar)
7. Misc clutter (heavy LAG! This is all the clutter that no sane player collects - tin cans, empty bottles, etc.)

Usage
======
After install, load your game, wait a sec for scripts to kick in, then open your pip-boy. In the "apparel" section there will be new item called JAVM Controller >. Select it and new menu will open:

1. Disable all. Self-explanatory. Disables LightAmp and TargetAssist simultaneously.
2. Enable/Disable Night Vision. Self explanatory too. Actually this is not Night Vision, it is LightAmp, i.e. light amplifier. Useful in poorly lit areas, and at night. If there is no light (such as in Fellout nights in really dark places) - nothing to amplify. See for yourself.
2. Enable/Disable Target Assist. Contains two modules in one - common IFF (enemies - red, friends - green, neutrals&corpses - blue) and new feature - object highlight (yellow).
3. Settings. Select it, then close pip-boy. Settings menu opens. Contains two sets of enable/disable for IFF and object highlight. By default everything except misc stuff is highlighted.

Install
=======
1. Extract this archive to your Fallout Data folder. The Data folder can be found under the directory where you installed Fallout.
2. Tick JAVM.esp in FOMM or your game launcher (load order really does not matter)
3. Load your game or start anew.
4. See usage for proper instructions on using it ingame.
5. Enjoy playing with JAVM!

Uninstall
=========
1. IMPORTANT! Disable Night Vision and Target Assist. Save.
2. Untick JAVM.esp in FOMM or your game launcher.
3. Delete JAVM.esp
4. Load your game or start anew.
5. Enjoy playing without JAVM!

Incompatibilities
=================
There can be some with other vision mods (actually a fight for highlighting enemies, so you can see blinking, etc). Any other - no.

Known Bugs/Issues
=================
1. Emptied containers do not lose highlight. This is more of an engine/FOSE bug. Open console, click on now-empty container, type GetNumItems. There is at least one item not visible to player. Often happens with first-aid containers and Nuka-Cola fridges. Can't fix.
2. Some really empty containers do not lose highlight too. Weird, but it seems that this is possibly associated with containers cloned from one baseform. Can't fix either, but I will be grateful if anyone tells me how to fix it.
3. Some corpses do not highlighted sometimes. Strange, and not reproducible. Also any help here will be much appreciated.

New Vegas conversion
=====================
If I see that you liked it - then it can happen. BTW, NVSE already contains all needed functionality. Maybe you can run it already as-is, but without any responsibilities of course.
