Endurance Based Health Regen 2.0
By Stevedog
Background
The original purpose of this mod was to make health regenerate overtime while not in combat based on your endurance. This was based on a request from the Bethsoft board to make health regenerate but no in an overpowered way. Well another request was made on the Bethsoft board for health regen and slow radiation removal. I figured that since I was halfway there already I would just update my mod with the radiation component. I also added limb regeneration just for the fun of it.
Description
The script continously runs and checks if you are in combat, every few minutes you spend outside of combat (cumulativley not consecutivley) your heath/rads/limbs will regenerate based on your Endurance.
Health Regen: Every few minutes you will regain an amount of health based on your current Endurance, so any temporary conditions that affect Endurance will be factored. How much endurance heals is customizable, ½ Endurance 1xEndurance, 2.5xEndurance or whatever. Health Regen can also be turned completely off.
Rad Reduction: Every few minutes you will lose an amount of rads based on your current Endurance, so any temporary conditions that affect Endurance will be factored. How much endurance heals is customizable, ½ Endurance 1xEndurance, 2.5xEndurance or whatever. There are two modes of Rad Reduction, one mode requires you to be at full health before you start losing rads, the other mode can reduce rads while at low health but it will reduce fewer rads when health is low. It is possible to have rad reduction stop completely if your health has dropped very low, but as your health comes back up then you will slowly start losing rads again. Rad reduction can also be turned off.
Crippled/Injured Limbs Recovery: Every few minutes your limbs will recover an amount of health based on your current Endurance, so any temporary conditions that affect Endurance will be factored. How much endurance heals is customizable, ½ Endurance 1xEndurance, 2.5xEndurance or whatever. Right now only one limb gets healed at a time, the order of priority is Chest-Head-Right Arm-Left Arm-Right Leg-Left Leg. You must have full health before your limbs start to recover (that just seemed to make sense) and you can choose if your rad count has to be zero or not before limb recovery. If you want your limbs to recover while your rad count is above zero there is no change in limb recovery rate, this is because I haven’t come up with a good way of balancing it with the Radiation Limb Recovery perk. If you have any crippled limbs, where limb health is zero, they will not recover until all non crippled limbs are at full health. Crippled limbs will recover in the same priority as injured limbs, Chest-Head-Right Arm-Left Arm-Right Leg-Left Leg. Injured limb recovery can be turned off.
If you the player decided that it is either underpowered or overpowered I have provided an ingame menu through which you may make adjustments. The amount of time it takes to heal can be switched between Real Time and Game Time. While in Real Time Mode the time can be adjusted up or down in 1 minute increments. While in Game Time Mode the time can be adjusted in 15 minute increments, this will be based on what ever timescale you use. There can be odd issues, however, if your time scale is set too high; so keep your timescale under 200 or use Real Time mode.
Known Issues
I have had issues with the menu buttons sometimes not going to the correct screen. For example hitting the button to adjust Radiation Flush time scale brings up the menu option to Turn Off Radiation Flush. I have had this happen a few times but I cannot reproduce it on queue. If this happens keep hitting the Back/Exit buttons untill the menu closes and go back into it. One I figure out the cause of this I will release an update.
Still to Come
Regen while Sleeping/Resting: Right now all of the Health, Rad and Limb regeneration happens only in gamemode, I’m working on a way to convert the number of hours slept into a set amount of Health, Rads and Limbs regenerated to be applied when you wake up.
Installation
UnRar file
Put it into data folder
Open FOMM and check the appropiate box
Play Fallout
Compatability
I doubt there are any conflifts based on the very small size of this mod.
