1. DESCRIPTION
=======================================================================

A texture mod that displays the Trade-Rout on your Pip-Boy World Map.


VERSION_S0.1b: "Standard"
The regular version. This is the actual mod itself. This texture replaces the default map.

VERSION_C0.1b: "Full-Color"
The "Mod-of-a-mod" version for those who use the High-Detailed Color map, by MAXHARDMAN
(*Only to be used if you have already installed the High-Detailed Color map Mod*)


I came up with the idea while playing the RTS mod. If you build near the trade rout then caravans will
stop in your village the way they do at other locations in the Wasteland. I thought it would be handy to
have a quick reference to look at when deciding where to build. And afterward to look for caravans that
will be approaching your city.

I also enjoy walking with the Caravans as a "body guard", so this definitely helps to find where they
are, and to scout ahead without losing them. Traveling this path is sort of fun too, as there are a lot
of random encounters along the way, as well as other travelers like the "strange meat" crew.

2. NOTES
=======================================================================

+ The Color version should only be used if you have installed MAXHARDMAN's "Color Hi-Detailed map
and icons" Mod. Otherwise, use the Standard Version, or Download MAXHARDMAN's Mod. The Color Map
will not look right if you do not have his full mod installed prior to installing my edited map.

3. BUGS/CONFLICTS
=======================================================================

+ There are no bugs to my knowledge; no crashes, no errors, no problems.

+ If you use any other map mod then this will obviously overwrite it.

+ The accuracy of the map is not entirely up to me. The default map is a bit off allready. Just
like almost every map in any FPS game, there are some places that are not 100% accurate, but it
is accurate enough to see the general area you are trying to find. I'd say about 85-90% ok. :P

4. INSTALLATION ( Please Read Carefully Before You Install )
=======================================================================

**************** 2 THINGS BEFORE YOU INSTALL ****************

#1. You need The ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated Tool

* Open... MY DOCUMENTS\My Games\Fallout 3\ FALLOUT.INI
* Make sure this entry is there... bInvalidateOlderFiles=1


#2. Check if Archiveinvalidation.txt is already in the Fallout3 MAIN folder...

X:\[ROOT DIRECTORY]\Fallout 3 - or wherever you have Fallout 3 Installed.

Example: C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout3\... Archiveinvalidation.txt



+ IF Archiveinvalidation.txt is already in Fallout3 folder - Use INSTALL -A
+ IF Archiveinvalidation.txt is NOT in the Fallout3 folder - Use INSTALL -B



**************** INSTALL OPTION A ****************
Install WITH a previous Archiveinvalidation.txt:


1. Open the Archiveinvalidation.txt file, and add the following line below the other entries...
NOTE THE DIRECTION OF THE SLASHES (Forward Slashes!!!)

textures/interface/worldmap/wasteland_1024_no_map.dds

Save the File


2. Extract the Files from the "Fallout 3\Data" Folder to...

X:\[ROOT DIRECTORY]\Fallout 3\Data... - or wherever you have Fallout 3 Installed.

Example: C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout3\Data ... [Files go Here]


3. That's it... Start the game, and the new map should appear in your Pip-Boy.



**************** INSTALL OPTION B ****************
Install WITHOUT a previous Archiveinvalidation.txt:


1. Extract the Files in the "Fallout 3" Folder to...

X:\[ROOT DIRECTORY]\Fallout 3... - or wherever you have Fallout 3 Installed.

Example: C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout3\... [Files go Here]


2. That's it... Start the game, and the new map should appear in your Pip-Boy.

5. UNINSTALL
=======================================================================

1. Open the Archiveinvalidation.txt file, and Remove the following line

textures/interface/worldmap/wasteland_1024_no_map.dds

Save the File


2. Remove the Mod Files in the "Fallout 3\Data" Folder...

Example: C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout3\Data...

* Files to remove are in... \Data\Textures\interface\worldmap...

Delete "wasteland_1024_no_map.dds"


3. That's it... Start the game, and the new map should no longer appear in your Pip-Boy.

6. COMPATIBLE MODS - (Mods that are great to use with this)

+ Color Hi-Detailed map and icons, by MAXHARDMAN

- A very detailed, Full-Color map for your Pip-Boy. This is a great mod, that makes the map
a lot more useful in my opinion.Version B of my Trade-Rout Map was made specifically for
this. If you use Version B, you absolutely HAVE to download this mod. The color map is
NOT MINE, and it is part of a larger U.I. mod.This version was made for people who already
use MAXHARDMAN's "Color Hi-Detailed map and icons" mod.


+ RTS - Real Time Settler, by Arcoolka & ripvanwinkle111

- A cool feature in this mod is that Caravans will stop in your village if you build near
a Trade-Rout, and the Searcher units tend to use the Trade-Rout when they leave to collect
materials. My Trade-Rout Map Mod makes it easy to find locations that will allow these
things to happen.

- This mod allows you to track the locations of Caravans on the Trade-Rout. If used with
my Trade-Rout Map you can not only see where they are, but you can easily see where they
will be going.


+ UCM - Upgraded Caravan Merchants, by Daggoth

- This mod makes the Caravans much more interesting, and better equipped to survive the
wasteland. If you use this with my Mod, and the others I mentioned above you will have a
very intimate experience with the Trade-Rout. If used with RTS, the Caravans can be a
useful ally when visiting your city during raids. If used with the Tracking Mod, you will
know exactly which Caravan Merchant is where, and you can easily follow your favorite group.


+ Essential Followers and Caravans v16, by Misterfido

- Makes all your followers and the Caravans Essential. Use this with everything above and
you're good to go. Interactive Trading and no disappointing deaths of your favorite caravans.

[Note:] The only reason I included a version that uses his map is that
I imagine a lot of people use this, because it is so amazing compared
to the default vanilla map. I would highly recommend downloading his
mod first, and using my edited map as a companion edition to that mod.
I would have preferred to use an overlay, but it is not possible to do.


+ The routs were applied to the in-game texture, and tweaked to match
the actual locations as closely as possible, then converted for use in
the game. 2010, KYD462 - Feel free to use this mod any way you want.
All I ask is that you give credit to me if you do, and to also give
credit to MAXHARDMAN if you use the color version of the map.
