About this image
With Mrs. Kobain breaking in her new pet, Cinnamon, a more utilitarian slave was next on the agenda. Mary Ann, Ginger, and Lovey were led in next to stand before Mr. Kobain and answer a few questions about their skills.
Mary Ann, not having said a word since her family was killed, kept silent the whole time. Ginger spoke of just how she was only allowed to help her brother set the table. Lovey, on the other hand, helped a lot around the house: cooking, cleaning, changing diapers, and so on. Mr. Kobain was thouroughly impressed by her qualifications and decided to buy her and make her an apprentice to his head chef.
With that bit of business out of the way, Seamus bid Mr. Kobain farewell and brought the remaining slaes back to the caravan. With every ready, everybody resumed the journey to Springfield.
