The next two weeks were a little bit more eventful than the first part of the journey. A few raiders made the mistake of trying to take her on. The pimp back at the hub and his councilman brother sent a bunch of goons after her, only to become dinner to a pair of deathclaws she was rescuing a settlement from. Other than that, the journey was rather peaceful.
Finally, after nearly a month of journeying, she reached her destination - Fort Ellicott. For hours she searched for any sign of Enclave activity, careful not to draw attention to herself. In the end, her caution was unwarranted.
The place was clearly abandoned and in a hurry. Pieces of equipment and the burned-out husks of several vertibirds were strewn all over the place, as well as several power-armored corpses.
As the sun started to disappear over the horizon, she found the entrance to what looked like an underground complex. Hooking up her minicomp to the entry terminal, she was able to hack into the system and open the main door.
